I really had enjoyed going to Planet Fitness in Claremore. I was a guest of my step-dad. The staff was always friendly and the gym much cleaner than other gyms in which I have been in. However, I no longer recommend planet fitness.
My step-dad went back to massage rooms after speaking with lady at front desk. I began to get concerned after 15 min went by b/c he hadn't come back out as he always came back out after his massage. Planet Fitness does have camera's in the massage area but no one must have been paying attention and checking the camera's.
I went to the front desk and asked if I could check on him and they told me I couldn't because I was not a member. She went to check on him and came back to tell me he was on the floor and purple. I hurried around to the area, told her to call 911 and found him laying in a pool of blood under his head, with purple skin tone on the floor. I started CPR.
No staff offered or jumped in to help me with CPR nor brought me an AED. Another man who was working out ended up helping me do CPR until EMS arrived. (Thank you so much to the man who helped me! I have no idea what your name is nor remember what you look like). Most of his color came back to his face as we did CPR. We kept my step-dad alive at Planet Fitness but he died in the ER in Claremore. It has been a very heartbreaking experience!
My Mom and I have been asking to see the video footage of the whole event for closure purposes and Planet Fitness has been heartless and have not allowed me or his wife (my mom) to see the video for closure as my mom wants to see the video for closure, also.
How cold hearted these people are to not allow us to see the last moments of our loved one! Also, they have been ignoring my Mom's calls and emails and mine, also. THIS IS HEARTLESS BEHAVIOR!!!
UPDATE: My Mom received the video's from PF today of my stepdad's last moments. We are thankful for the video's but still don't understand why we had to fight so hard and long to recieve them. The incident happened Dec 15, 2017 and it is now July 26th, 2018.
UPDATE: I started going back to PF Claremore a few months ago. The first couple days I was only able to sit in PF parking lot for a few minutes. The next time I made myself go in and was able to do a short workout. It has been getting easier each time and I am thankful I have been able to mostly overcome the pain of the event of my stepdad passing away at this PF. He was one to over workout 90% of the time and his cardiovascular system gave up on Dec 15, 2017. I enjoyed working out at Claremore PF before this event and I am finally able to start enjoying it again.
UPDATE: I no longer go to PF Claremore. I found it too hard considering past circumstances. However, I enjoy going to other PF's in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am assuming it is the college students who appreciate the price and do not understand customer service that this even remotely has a positive review. I have no idea why anyone uses this gym. After being in gyms in the surrounding states this one is the worst. Way bad.
And PF has to be making its money on those who sign up and not use it. But why would you? If you are serious you aren't going to this gym.
Watch out for hidden fees and dishonest personel.
Saying your sorry "and that's the way we do it" Repeatedly! That is being paid $9 an hour to offer no customer service. None zilch. Just to make sure rules are applied that no one else does.
I have to repeat this. They offer no customer service.
They have no full body enhancement (aka redlight). They do not allow you to sit in the massage chairs for over ten minutes. You can not have access to turn the tvs in the massage chair while you are the only one in the chairs. No one is watching. And every other state... you get the remote!
No other surrounding states PF does the strange odd lack of providing normal stuff and they have all machines. No, they lack machines throughout. Like they just planned to cut things short everywhere and hope you do not notice. (Guys, it is obvious.)
And the gym is never full. Who cares if the machine you do want sits in the 30minute zone not elsewhere or the only one is occupied. But they monitor unused machines!!!
And after starting in a different state that provided a swipe card to the permanent guest, forget them treating that guest as an equal or less than a hassle.
The mindset here is terrible. It is not about service. It is to fill the hours and dust but other than that any assistance outside a very strict can do list there are no provisions of service.
It has a child sitter with guidelines to not do. Forget the competition, forget other gyms, the rules here are strict and do not even think about it. It is (whatever you thought) is forbidden. No judgement but you must COMPLY LIKE A NAZI.
And then they want to gradually pump prices up. I could imagine they have to. It is empty and horrible.
Oh, I have not even started but if... If this was a restaurant EXPECT to fill your own drink and this isnt Wendy's you went to McGills! Then get your food from the kitchen yourself, too! And still tip $20. For no service. Oh, did you get a second side!? We do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePoor customer service. We -my wife and I joined the gym end of May and worked out for close to two months carrying the gym bag on the floor with no complaints from other memebers at the gym of being irresponsible with our gym Bags. Last week Manager walks up to the floor and stops our workout to ask us to leave our gym bags in locker room or in the car. We discuss about the sudden change in the policy as we have been working out for a while across multiple reputed fitness gyms- planet Fitness, 24 hours, Fitness connection, never had an issue, and we do good weight lifting so we need our gears around us. We also understood their point of potential risk to other member if we arenāt responsible and tried to find a middle path but the staff was really adamant to help. We stopped bringing our gym bags and started keeping it in the car trunk. Today- Saturday we came in late to do leg workout (we use Inzer straps which are bulky)so that there will be lesser people at gym and to our surprise there were 3 members at the gym . We asked the front desk girl politely that can we take our bags to the gym today as there is no potential risk to others- 3 other members. She declined it rudely and then I decided to put my bag back in the trunk but it was raining real hard . So I asked her can you please help us put the bag to safer place as we donāt have a lock for the locker but she declined to help in the name of policy . Folks I am writing this review not to criticize the gym and the staff but to remind people that when we pay for a service , we deserve customer service and not a rude behavior in the name of rules . I am not expecting that we should be allowed to bring our bags to the floor but we Deserve a good customer service . When the front desk asks customers - How are you ? - make it genuine and not a courtesy because you truly arenāt concerned about your customer. We all have to be humble and caring to each other thatās my request through...
