I have never written a google review but I feel compelled to do so given the circumstances. Today I visited mochas and minis with my 5 yr old daughter and (almost) 2 year old son. We met some friends there and the kids were having a blast running around and playing. I had one of the best dirty chia lattes Iâve had in a while, all was well. An incident happened with some kids and Iâd like to address it here because of the negative and frankly untrue review left by the mother of said kids. I do tend to keep an eye on my kids especially in free play environments mostly to make sure they are playing well and respectful to the other kids. I was sitting in my seat and noticed some boys huddled around my daughter near the slides. I went over to make sure everyone was ok and I personally heard the boys were telling my daughter that she couldnât enter that part of the play area because she was a girl. They also started to make fun of my daughters friend. I kindly told the boys that everyone is allowed to play where they want. The younger boy then started saying he was going to shoot me and my daughter (obviously I didnât take that threat to heart since he was a small child, but my daughter doesnât know better). The older boy did look at me and say âsorry my brother is crazyâ so I do appreciate that. I told my daughter to just stay away from them and that she was allowed to play in any area of the play place. I went to sit back down and keep an eye on my younger child. Maybe 5 mins later I see my daughter running out of the play area crying that the same boys werenât letting her pass into a part of the play place. At that point it was clear that it wouldnât stop and since I hadnât seen the mother talking to the children I didnât know who she was. I decided it would be best to bring it to the staffs attention so that an unbiased person could address it. Apparently another mother had said something about the boys a few minutes earlier as well so the staff went and talked to the mom. This isnât a huge place so I can see and hear whatâs going on when I pass by while watching my younger son. The owner was very respectful and explained to the mother that it might be a good idea to talk to the boys and go over the rules again. Iâm not sure why but the mother just decided to leave. Which was honestly a relief at that point. I had been on the fence about how I felt about mochas and minis in general. Itâs a great play place but I did feel it was a bit pricey. Honestly after today and seeing how seriously the staff takes bullying and safety, itâs worth...
Read moreI have brought my daughter here a few times and she loves coming and playing. However the interactions recently while asking questions in regards to the changes that have been made are dismissive and rude. They had recently decided to start enforcing their 2hour limit on play passes, which at first was announced as all day stay and play and when the time cam that would change. I understand completely as business needs change. However I had been in with a friend when she purchased her play pass and not a single staff member or the owner say to her that the play pass is good for 2hrs. We were under the assumption after it had been posted online previously that it was good all day that it in fact was good all day. On Facebook I had asked questions in regards to these new changes, and felt brushed off. I asked if there would be any accommodations in regards to the changes of the play passes. I got the reply âif you read the play pass it says good for 2hrs from their FB Page.â In response I said You have to purchase the play pass first to even read the print on there, and I was told if anyone had issues they would gladly refund them. Who reads a punch card that was advertised as play all day. Then everything was deleted, all comments regarding questions about the changes deleted, and brushed under the rug. They are not transparent with their policies, stating that they always had a 2hr time limit for play and everything past that was just letting you stay to play, despite not telling you that. Not pleased with their customer service, or shady business practices.
Edit: The post I commented on was in fact the ânewâ post that was posted, and the unwanted comments were in fact deleted. And yes the photo attached says what you are doing however both you and a employee have posted saying that the play passes/ play time have always been 2 hours which has always been stated as otherwise everywhere else. You guys are not consistent at all and when you have changed things tried to hide and cover up questions and comments regarding this. Asking to âbe more specific with your personal encounterâ, which comes does come off as passive aggressive. Have a Great day! Also, you may want to start being more specific when it comes to advertising your business prices...
Read moreIt is an alright time. Our little one had fun on the jungle gym and in the ball pits. The odd parts for us as adults was when we arrived, the employee at the desk was kinda off. Did the payment for the grippy socks and had to ask her if we were good to go after a like solid thirty seconds of awkward staring because she just turned around started talking to her coworker. Lol. I mean not the biggest deal, but it was a pretty solid set up for the rest of the time. It's pretty clearly marked that adults aren't supposed to be on the play equipment and that seemed to be more of a suggestion to some of the parents that were there today. More than once, little ones were waiting behind adults on the jungle gym. Again, not a super problem to us and we weren't there to police parents. Just seemed like they were a little more lax on the rules than we thought. As others have stated, the bathroom with a changing table (and honestly comfortable enough space for an adult and child) is through the lobby so I could see that being troublesome for people with multiple children. The part that was kind of bothersome was that we did order and pay for a drink that, after nearly 30 minutes, we never received and our two hours was up. My husband went to check about 15mins after we ordered, just to see if everything was okay, waited without being acknowledged for about 5 mins before coming back to the play area with us. We decided to wait the last almost 10 mins to see of the drink would come out, but it didn't so we packed up and asked for a refund. No harm no foul- sometimes people get caught up. From the time my husband had gone to see if he could check on the drink until we left, another customer had been at the desk. Apparently he was trying to get a pass and something was up idk, but one of the employees was sure upset about it. Curt and rude to her coworker and we had another bout of waiting for the two girls behind the counter to actually participate in customer service, although I think one of them may have been in training. It's silly to me because a short, "I'll be right with you," goes a long way. Again, though, could have just been a really off day. We got our refund...
