Update Dec. 2022 - Since I have had too many bad experiences with trying to use their closed-captioning glasses, I opted to just use their headphone connection this time. I brought my own earbuds because I don't like the headphones they provide. This worked out good for hearing the movie good enough. But, today it was FREEZING in the whole building. There were signs on the doors stating their system was not able to handle the extreme cold outside temperatures. This could be true, but the fact is - this place is always too cold! It was miserably cold. We always presume that it will be cold, so we always bundle up, but it was nearly unbearable even with the extra layers of clothes and gloves and earmuffs! We stayed for the whole movie, but it was just a bad situation and not the enjoyment you hope to have after spending a small fortune to be there.
(Older/Previous Review) I just had another (typical) bad experience at this theater. I need to use a hearing assisted device. The last few times I've been there, the customer service is practically non-existent. I understand that maybe they're understaffed - or maybe not, but that doesn't excuse rudeness. I was standing at the counter waiting for someone to come help me and they all just ignored that I was there. They saw me. Just looked at me and still didn't make the effort to come check. One of them was OVERLY checking the candy to make sure they were in straight, I guess. Certainly that should take precedent over a waiting customer. Eventually someone came over and got me the closed-captioning glasses. They did not work. This is probably the 3rd time in a row that they have not worked. You don't really know they're not working until the movie starts and I didn't want to miss the first 30 minutes of the movie trying to get someone to help. After the movie when I came out to return the equipment, I got the same treatment as before the movie. Someone who appeared to be in management was half-a$$ wiping things down in the lobby. She definitely saw me and again, more than once and made no effort to come see why I was hanging out at the counter. Eventually she came around and in a very curt voice asked me if I needed something, or if I was just returning the equipment. When I told her I was returning the equipment, but that it didn't work, she s-l-o-w-l-y came around to the back of the counter... So, a much longer account could be told, but ultimately she gave me 2 tickets to a future movie as a way of making ammends. I didn't look at them until just now. They expired last August!!! Wow. Thanks Regal...
Read moreI donât normally do Google reviews and Iâm going to be long winded here, but these things needed to be addressed.
Iâm honestly shocked at how poorly trained and managed the staff are. I wish we got a refund on our way out, but we were tired.
Tickets were being sold inside so we hopped in line at concessions. The lobby was very dirty, and I couldnât even tell you how long it took the staff member behind the counter to complete one interaction in front of us. He was dragging his feet and moving extremely slowly. When we got to the counter, he was mumbling and I could barely hear a word he said. Moving slowly again.
Next, we get into the RPX theater. First thing I noticed is how extremely deafening the volume is. The screen also needs to be cleaned. I thought it would get better after the movie started, but it actually hurt my ears (I heard other patrons complain about the volume on their way out as well). I did go out and ask some ushers if they could turn down the volume. They said âOh, thatâs just how the RPX is, itâs really loud.â I said they could ask the manager to turn it down (I worked at two Regals and was a manager myself), and they said they could try but they most likely wonât do anything. Are you kidding me? The volume is completely adjustable from the projector. I asked if they could please say something, and then I went back in.
After a while, I went back out because I was starting to get a headache. I asked a team lead if she could please turn it down. I think she ended up doing it just slightly, but both my boyfriend and I left with our ears hurting. He started to get a headache during the movie as well. In hindsight, we should have left because I'm 8 months pregnant and that was probably too much for the baby, even. We were just really excited to finally see Dune. :/
Lastly⌠Our drink refill. We ordered a large popcorn and a large drink that come with refills. I understand that people are trying to close, but when there are still customers in the building watching a movie, there should be refills available. My boyfriend went out to get a refill of our drink... They refused him and said they had closed the towers. I went back out and asked to get the refill I paid for and if they couldn't put a spout back on. I ended up getting the drink, but the whole thing was honestly laughable.
Glad we are moving away and donât have to experience that again. It was very unprofessional and disappointing. Please train your...

Your customers are sweating profusely and your poor staff has to work near hot food while running around like crazy and all with it being 80 something degrees in the lobby. Needs more staff at the snack counter. Lines get so long you miss your movie even if you come in 20 minutes prior. Luckily I can skip it because I have unlimited. Sometimes it feels unsafe here. Needs security 100%. We saw Haunted Mansion and the whole theater was mobbed by teenagers screaming obscenities and making violent threats at people and management didn't stop it nor did they call police. The female manager said she knew this was all happening and admitted that she did nothing about it. I was very polite and reasonable about it because I honestly hate confrontation and don't want to be considered a "Karen" but she acted like I was being entitled and got really rude with me when I asked for a refund. We had missed most of the movie and my kids and I were scared and couldn't leave our seats because of the threats from the 30 something teenagers up and down the aisles in our theater of a family movie whenever someone tried to get up from their seat. The rest of the staff is incredibly wonderful and I have nothing but great things to say about them and the service they provide. Other than the things mentioned, we love going to watch movies...
