Aspirations Winery — Attraction in Clearwater

Man I debated on putting up a review cause I’m not that type of person, but the owner of Aspirations Winery and his staff are unbelievable. My wife and I had our wedding reception at this establishment on the 22nd of December, everything was going smooth leading up to the wedding, but Bill’s attitude (the owner) flipped 180 the day of. Prior to the wedding we agreed on no outside alcohol, which is understandable. Day of, we had a couple of guests that brought drinks in without us knowing, since it’s already such a busy day for us. By the time we were informed, the staff were rude about it and when we offered a solution to find who it was to tell them to either get rid of it or leave, we were told the owner was on his way. We figured we’d be able to reason with the owner due to his polite demeanor prior to the wedding, boy was I wrong. I stepped out for a moment, taking pictures with some friends, and Bill stormed in cussing at everyone in his way, including myself, my wife, our family and our dj, forcing us to end the event about an hour and a half earlier than what we had paid for. I don’t even care about the money. The whole situation was handled EXTREMELY unprofessionally, and left all our guests in utter shock. To add on to that, the staff complained we were “rowdy”… it was a wedding… and the owner complained about glitter on the floor… again, it was a wedding… if you don’t want to deal with that kind of atmosphere, don’t allow wedding receptions to be held in the establishment. I understand why he was upset, but the situation should’ve been handled professionally and off to the side, not making a scene in front of 100+ people.

This was our first time at a winery and Aspirations has set the bar pretty high. The tour of the winery was very nice they went over the process of how they make and bottle their wine - so happy to find out that they are expanding. Can’t wait to come back to see the changes. The bundle we purchased through Trip Advisor was a great deal it was for 2 people. It came with a tour, two sets of 3-flights each, two sample platters (which had an assortment of cheeses, nuts, crackers), and two Aspirations Winery wine glasses, and a bottle of wine to take home for a really great price. We also went during happy hour which after we enjoyed everything our package came with the glasses of wine were slightly discounted. So we indulged in a bit more. We also picked up a couple bottles of wine to take home and a couple gifts from their shop. The atmosphere was very nice and inviting all staff were very friendly.
