I purchased an iBUYPOWER computer from this Best Buy for over $1,600 and tried to responsibly upgrade it with 4 sticks of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM (32 GB each, 128 GB total). The motherboard would not boot with this configuration, even though it should support 4 DIMM slots. Geek Squad confirmed in writing that the system was unstable with 4 sticks installed and recommended a different configuration. In other words: the PC was sold as upgradeable but isn’t in practice — that’s a product misrepresentation issue, not just an “upgrade preference.” When I asked for an exchange to something equal or slightly better, the sales manager Jay was dismissive and rude. His exact words were: “That’s the manufacturer. We’re just the distributor.” Later, when pressed for escalation, he told me “This isn’t an airline, we’re not upgrading your seat.” That kind of smart-aleck remark is unprofessional and insulting, especially when I was trying to resolve a product defect, not asking for a luxury upgrade. Jay also claimed there was “no one higher than corporate,” only later admitting the store manager is Charles Watson (he wouldn’t provide a phone number, only an email). This kind of evasive behavior and belittling tone is unacceptable. To make matters worse, Geek Squad also had to rewire the system because wires were left lying across heatsinks — something that should never happen in a new build. Between the wasted Best Buy membership, lost reward points, and the time spent dealing with these issues, this has been an aggravating and disappointing experience. Bottom line: this store sold me a PC that cannot be upgraded as advertised, then refused to stand behind the product when problems arose. The lack of accountability and dismissive customer service make it clear they do not understand (or support) the products they sell. I cannot recommend this store to anyone looking for a reliable gaming PC or professional service.

This morning (Monday, 9/22) I placed an order for the Apple Watch Ultra 3, during checkout I was asked if I would like to bring my old Apple Watch into the store to trade in towards the purchase of my new Watch, I filled out the form which brought my purchase total down significantly. At checkout it stated I did not need to bring in a Watch Band or Charger to do the trade in, it stated it was for hygiene reasons, I’ve also traded in a multitude of Apple Watches at the Apple Store and they don’t take the bands or charger for the same hygiene reasoning so it’s not out of the ordinary for them not to want the watch band. This location was the only one in the area with the new watch in stock and it’s about 40 minutes away from my home. I drove the 40 minutes to the store later in the day once I received the email stating my order was ready for pickup. Once I arrived it was just a cluster to get help in the store, at first they couldn’t find my order, then they couldn’t find a representative to assist me, then they ignored me at the desk, then once a representative came over to help me he was then immediately pulled away by another employee to go help a different customer, it was a complete farce. After about a half hour of trying to just get started they found my order and we began the Trade-In process. As I stated before during checkout on the BestBuy app while I was setting up my Trade-In I was told not to bring in a Watch Band or a Charger so I did not. I drove 40 minutes to the store with just the Watch itself as instructed by the app. The gentleman at the service desk then informed me he wouldn’t be able to do my Trade-In because I didn’t have a Watch Band or Charger. Since he was unable to do the Trade-In which would’ve brought my total down significantly as the watches are quite pricey, I was no longer interested in doing the transaction, if I wasn’t going to save any money and I was going to be stuck with 2 watches what is the point then? I told both the gentleman and the girl behind the desk to cancel the entire transaction as I was no longer interested in the watch if I couldn’t complete the Trade-In. I said multiple times to cancel the transaction, instead, the gentleman proceeded to charge my card after verbally telling him not to. I immediately told him to return it to which both the boy and the girl said that they couldn’t process the return as I initially paid with Apple Pay so I was out of luck. I took the Watch that I was wrongly charged for and left the store. I drove the 40 minutes home while trying to get in contact with Customer Service, I finally spoke to multiple people who told me there was nothing to do. It would actually blow your mind how useless their customer service is, I wish I could upload the call recordings for entertainment purposes. Customer Service also claim to have no way to get in contact with anyone inside of the store, they even claimed they can’t even call the manager of the store to try to fix the situation as they cannot transfer calls and they cannot themselves call the...

Place a order for I pad at 9am for store pickup, understanding that I would probably take more than an hour due to holiday seasons I patiently waited for an update to state that the order was ready for pickup I called the store at ahead of time to make sure they had the item on hand That's what made me go online to purchase it the informed me they could not hold the item and that I would have to purchase it online for a pickup, 5 hours later I go to the store give them the confirmation number the money was taken out of my bank account paid for it and debit, was saying to pick up and bring my ID I go there to pick up my item and then they turn around and tell me the item is not ready that there's a verification that needs to go through that I'm not a robot I told him clearly I'm not a robot I'm standing in front of you here is my license here's the debit card and here is the proof of purchase the order number and on top of that show them the bank statement of the money took in from Best buy.. told me well you're just going to have to wait until an email not a text not a call but an email that states that the item is ready.. I drove two hours to get that item.. here it is 9 hours later and there's still no update.. to throw even worse I asked them can you just go to the cage unlock it give me the iPad I'll pay for it right now and I'll cancel the one I did on the order they said no they wouldn't go open the cage it would not give me an iPad.. and that I would have to wait and that if I canceled then I'd have to wait 5 to 10 business days for the money to go back on my account.. All I want to do is buy the iPad for my daughter for Christmas and they are making it so much harder than it is as a manager in retail I can tell you one thing.. All the explanations they try to give me are unacceptable and just playing it made up. They try to say oh well yes the money was taken out of your bank account but it's process pending so until we get the actual money then we can release and update the information I've never heard of that we all have pending process when we use our debit or credit card but if you don't have money to cover for it it would say use another card for a method of payment insufficient funds I have thousands of dollars on this card that I'm using and told them whatever goes on with bank to bank is on you my bank released the money I have my order number I have my proof of purchase I just want to pick up my order.. this wasn't a ship to store to store and this wasn't shipped from the warehouse this was literally a store pickup.. so I'm going to cancel the order take my business somewhere else and I'll never do business with Best buy especially at...

My wife and I spent over $5,000 on a massive 98-inch TV a few weeks ago. We planned to surprise our daughter with a karaoke party for her birthday, inviting all her friends. The TV delivery was scheduled for today, and the date was critical to our plans. To ensure everything was on track, we called about 10 times between the purchase and delivery date, including the night before. Each time, we were reassured that everything was set.

The night before delivery, we even received a text confirming the delivery team would contact us in the morning. Excited for the big day, we called Best Buy as soon as they opened to confirm the delivery time. That’s when we got the bad news: the TV wasn’t coming. No warning, no explanation. Just canceled.

Understandably, we were furious. We had spent thousands of dollars and weeks planning this event, making multiple calls to confirm everything was on schedule. Now, it was all for nothing. After spending an hour and 20 minutes on the phone with them, we learned the TV was sitting at the store with no clear reason for the cancellation. The supervisor offered to reschedule the delivery—for two weeks later.

Our event was already planned two weeks in advance, and now they expected us to wait another two weeks? And what if they canceled again? We suggested they drop off the TV later that day or the next so we could handle the setup ourselves. They refused, offering no explanation.

Frustrated, we proposed renting a truck to pick up the TV ourselves to salvage our daughter's birthday party. Shockingly, they wouldn’t allow it. They insisted the TV could only be delivered—yet they wouldn’t deliver it!

This entire experience was a nightmare. Despite spending thousands of dollars, diligently following up, and receiving confirmation after confirmation, Best Buy completely failed us. Their refusal to work with us—even when we offered to do all the heavy lifting ourselves—was beyond frustrating. If you’re buying something you can take home immediately, you might be fine. But for any service or installation, think twice. You’d have better luck with someone from Craigslist—they’d at least show up.

Edit: 1/14/25 Delivery came today. TV was missing parts. TV Installation has been rescheduled to the 28th. At this point I'm literally being trolled, well played. The dance continues. It doesn't matter who you talk to, Everybody tells you different things.

Edit: 1/28/25 Best Buy again with zero warning cancelled our delivery AGAINNNNNNN..we are still waiting on the TV to be installed... not sure this is real life anymore .....
