Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex (Fields 5-7) — Attraction in Clearwater

Wow! Things have really changed at this complex with the staff. Came here in 2014 and 2015 and it was awesome. They were friendly and helpful. Yesterday it took 20 minutes to get through the gate. If you were paying cash, you could go around. The problem was that they didn't tell you. When a staff member finally told us to go to the last table to pay, it was wrong. The workers were very rude. 2 bands on your wrist for the weekend. Going in this morning and you have to take the wrist bands off, get 2 tickets, give them to the next person, go to another person to get another wrist band. Then through security and have one of the staff harass you to dump a mouthful of coffee out of your mug! They way I see it, the staff thinks the are above everyone and are very condescending! New staff wants adult league out. Games during the week are a routine ghost town whereas only a few years ago you had multiple games on multiple fields every night. Literally one game with one set of umpires one time slot at a time. Disclaimer- This has nothing to do with the virus, this has been going on since new management took over. If games get rained out, which they obviously do, they no longer make them up and don’t even pro rate the payments. Pretty much eliminated home runs and there aren’t even playoffs-just blatantly apparent they are trying to phase out adult league, even though that’s where they make their money and what’s thrived there not that long ago. Eddie C. Moore are beautiful and very well kept fields. I played there for years in both Womens and Co-ed leagues. When I saw the college tournaments come in, I was very excited. I'm also a photographer and took some beautiful photos of the young Women playing the sport they enjoyed. 2022, I was late to get tickets and wasn't able to go. I am so proud and happy Women's softball has come so far and getting the recognition it deserves. Driving by and seeing all of the spectators going to the fields wearing sweatshirts from schools all around the country was wonderful. I would love to see more bleachers, maybe with shade and better parking put in to increase the size of this venue. Overall... ECM, is both a great place to play...
