This is the second time I have gone through their drive-thru. The first time I ordered a everything bagel with extra Capers onions and meet. When I drove off and had time to open the bagel it was very skimpy. I tried to order the same thing again on another day and they gave me the same skimpy bagel. I gave it back to them and said that it did not have the extras I ordered and paid for it. She told me that regulation is two onions so she added a third and regulation is 6 Capers so she added a couple more. The meat did not look like it was double meat worth the $3 extra. I told her to give me my money back and she doesn't know how to make bagels. I have been to other Einstein Bagels that can make a great bagel. This one cannot. They will skimp your bagel so don't go there if you're hungry. The sad thing is instead of putting a couple onions Capers and a little more meat on it she'd rather lose the company all the money for the $12 bagel that I bought and throw away a perfectly good bagel. What kind of jerk doesn't just fix the bagel? 5/13 UPDATE: WOW!, just got my credit card statement, these jerks charged me twice for the bagel instead of returning it to my card as they said they would. Over the years Einstein has gotten worse at customer service with unfriendly people. Today, the store was slow, only one other customer who had already been served. we ordered a bakers dozen and a muffin, my wife asked for a bagel to be toasted, Absolutely would not do it. there were other issues and just the overall tone of the lady who was taking the order. The ironic thing is that she actually took time to explain to me how to tip them using the credit card terminal. I generally tip but this time when she said pressing 4 is for no tip. my finger couldnt reach 4 fast enough. Horrible experience. I would guess that this is a corporate policy but if you want a tip. You have to make a little effort. I could understand if the store was slammed and I asked for all 13 to be toasted or some other excessive request but we wanted 1 toasted.
