Mosquito Burrito — Restaurant in Cleveland

So basically these guys took the Chipotle concept and put in a place that doesn't have Chipotle...but here's the thing, they did it really really well. Arguably better. The portions are good, the prices are great, and they seem to really appreciate your business. The hot salsa is actually quite hot, so I would recommend testing it before putting it on your dish, the other person with me loved theirs but was almost blown away with the spice (and they typically like spicier things). The mild salsa is flavorful, the chips are thin crispy, and seasoned which makes them unique to this place. They also don't charge extra for guac...take that Chipotle! :) A worthwhile stop for affordable burritos and bowls in a small town that is full...

Finding the entrance was a little confusing since it's not on the side that faces E Sunflower Rd, but around back where additional parking is on Cotton row, but once we found it was fine. The restaurant is similar to Chipotle, in that you can pick all the toppings and protein in your bowl, taco, or burrito. Their chips also have some sort of seasoning on it that I can't seem to recognize what it is but they were delicious. We sat out in the patio and enjoyed the street view as well as the huge projector screen playing the NFL game for the night. This was a great spot to have lunch when I was in town. The day I visited, they were out of Beyond Meat, but they still had black beans and refried beans, so I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I asked for Beyond Meat the employee asked me if I was vegan or vegetarian and told me that the rice is cooked in chicken broth. I really appreciated that she knew to bring that up. The house made salsa verde was delicious and the burrito was filling and hit the spot. Fun and quirky atmosphere. I loved the covered patio area.
