Prior Attire — Attraction in Cleveland

I'll never go back after today. I've shopped here several times, but after today I'll never go back. We saw a dress hanging up behind the counter and asked about it. The manager said it didn't have tags but she would check to see how much it is. She said she looked it up and it was $29.99. I told her I wanted it and she said it was mine. The cashier started to ring me up and I pulled out my card to pay and then the manager decided I couldn't have the dress until she checked the price AGAIN. She said she would have to take my number and call me to tell me how much it was. She called later to tell me the dress was now $126. Don't tell a customer a price unless you're sure about it and DEFINITELY don't tell them something is theirs and then snatch it back from the cashier and tell them they can't have it!! Would rate 0 stars if I could. I dropped off at least $400 worth of clothes, they gave me $74 back. Whatever. When I came into the store to collect my compensation, they told me I had 3 weeks left and I shouldn’t worry about extending my consignment date, in reality I had 4 days left it turns out. I asked multiple times if she was positive about the three weeks because my email showed the 9th. She said yes that date was reflective of the day they entered it into the system and I had 3 weeks past that date. She also tried to pay me the $74 on a check, I asked if they could do cash instead and they refused another employee had to step in and tell her they actually DO do cash. I’m beyond frustrated she gave me a false date to pick up my clothes and now I’ve lost all my belongings. Up until this point I’d had a positive experience but one single employee who’d switched from the ooltewha location costed me my relationship with this business....

I LOVE Prior Attire! I discovered this store over 12 years ago when I moved to Cleveland & now there’s a convenient location in Ooltewah too. Best Consignment stores where the inventory is trendy & ever changing. So fun to consign there and get paid cash or with store credit! Shelly & the PA staff give the customer a personable experience. 💗They are so relatable and down to earth! Don’t rush in and out!
