I genuinely never leave reviews but after what I dealt with today a review is warranted. I drop my dog off for his appointment at 9am with a new groomer i had not been with before. A tall and skinny asian guy. I pick my dog up around 12. Upon picking him up i put him in my car and go home and once i bring him upstairs, i realized he smelled badly. Iāve brought my dog here multiple times and each time I have had no complaints (except for when they shaved my dog without me telling them to). My dog smelling bad was something new to me because again, i never have any complaints. I called and let them know my dog stunk and they offered to bathe him again. When i got back to the groomers, i was met with the guy who initially groomed my dog and he proceeded to question me. I explained that my dog stinks and i've never had this issue before. he then proceeds to ask me āare you saying the dog wasn't bathed?ā obviously i was not upstairs and i don't have a camera attached to my dogs eyes so i responded āi was not there i don't know what was done but my dog stinks and again, i have never had this problem beforeā. He takes my dog upstairs and 2 hrs later my dog is finally ready to be picked up AGAIN. My mother goes to pick up my dog and the guy proceeds to tell her that he thinks I was āmaking it upā. For starters, if I have never previously complained, why would I make this up? Not only was the grooming not free but my time is also not free. Why would I sit here and make this up to have to turn around and bring my dog back after his initial appointment? Are we ok in the head??? the appointment was still paid for, the dog was still dropped off and picked up, the groomer was still tipped. This was such an infuriating experience and I will no longer be bringing my dog here. Yumi was the only reason my dog was brought here previously and even after her maternity leave I still decided to keep coming. thank you to the man today we WILL be finding a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlace does look nice and they are friendly but they're NOT equipped to handle cats, even though they offer services for cats (clipping and grooming). They'd told me I didn't need an appointment for nail clipping, so i dropped in with my cat as they'd suggested. They said it would only take a minute. Two minutes later they came back up saying my cat wouldn't come out of the crate and that he wouldn't be able to clip the nails. When i came down stairs to see if i could help, there turned out to be 4 other dogs in the same room (small room), so yeah... no wonder the cat wasn't in a rush to come out!! There was no other room they could do this in or take out the dogs (for the proposed 'minute' they told me it would take). There was no equipment/leash/harness to keep the cat still/calm in (how do they groom them??). I had to take the cat out of the crate myself and hold him. Even then the groomer said he still didn't want to clip the nails. Eventually he did clip the nails, but it took a while to convince him (i hadn't gone through the trouble of bringing the cat and stressing him out only to get a 'no' and do all this over again a different day without guarantee). I had to pay the full amount afterwards ($14, nothing crazy but I'd basically done half the job). I think it's a reasonable place for dog grooming, just don't take your cat there, if (s)he's anything like the majority of cats. If it's a very chill cat that doesn't get frazzled over anything/body/animal, it's probably doable, but how many of those are there? Call ahead to find out their scheduled dog grooming, cause there's only 1 small space with several tables where they do this and it could be filled with dogs waiting to be groomed and being groomed. Not ideal to bring a cat into. I was disappointed in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdated review: brought both of my little guys here and they did their haircuts perfectly! After explaining about the last time With needing my yorkies legs shorter the groomer did it perfect. I also have a Brussels griffon and his haircut came out adorable. Would highly recommend this place! So glad I finally found a good spot in the area.
Overall this was a great experience. Brought my 8lb yorkie hereafter having a terrible experience with a high end pet groomers on river Rd. The place on river Rd charged me about $100 per dog and did a terrible job! So I had to find a new place. Head to tail had great reviews so I brought 1 of my 2 dogs here. The women at the counter was very friendly and informative. The groomer overall did a great job. So the only negative is the groomer wasn't there when I came or left. My dogs legs were left too long and when I told the women at the counter this she said the groomer already left. I asked if I could bring him back in when the groomer had time to fix it and she said they don't usually do that. I found this odd as I wasn't able to see the groomer myself and explain what I wanted. Customer satisfaction should be a priority. The fact that I wanted more hair taken off shouldn't of been an issue they should of done it gladly without hesitation ,instead I got the response of"we don't usually do that. We will allow it this 1 time but that's it" very odd. It's been about a month and I need to book another haircut for him because his legs are getting matted(hence why I wanted them done shorter) I will go back for another shot because overall the haircut was good and he looked adorable. Hopefully there's better communication and the...
