Dr. Makar and his wife are incredible. Dr. Makar is very knowledgeable and shows genuine care for you, but his staff has got to be one of the worst I have ever encountered in my life. You can make an appointment but don't expect to see the doctor on time. In fact, expect to wait at least 2 hours after your appointment has passed then once you get in there you feel like everything is being rushed. The girls who run the desk have to be some of the most incapable, unprofessional, rude and just plain dumb that I have ever encountered in my life. The girls just follow whoever signs the sign in sheet first and do not go by appointments no matter what. I was given a prescription from Dr. Makar which had to be approved by the doctor after speaking with the pharmacists. After 2 weeks 3 phone calls from me 3 phone calls from the pharmacy and 3 faxes from the pharmacy to them it was never resolved. I had to make another appointment and wait 2 more hours just to get an answer and have him prescribe me something else that didn't involve the office getting involved. God forbid you call the office concerned of an issue too. You will just get spoken over and treated like your a burden to them and shown zero respect. From what I've noticed there if your not there with a cosmetic appointment you will get pushed aside and told to wait regardless of your appointment time. The waiting room is so full that you have no where to sit every time you go there. They don't know how to make or run appointments and they don't know how to not overbook the office on a daily basis. If you don't want a tremendous amount of headaches or stress and you don't want to waste 2 plus hours of your life EVERYTIME YOU GO THERE AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT time has passed just to feel rushed out and then treated rudely by his staff I suggest you look elsewhere. He's a great doctor but it's not worth going there with the amount of attitude you get from his staff and the constant headaches...

Ugh where do I even begin with Dr. Makar. I came to him all kinds of messed up and I remember how he welcomed me with open arms. I had some concerns about my health and he listened and comforted me and reassured me that everything will be alright. I have never in my life felt like any other doctor actually cared. A lot of people complain about the time but if you want to be another name on a paper then he isn't for you. Dr. Makar treats every patient like family. He's not going to rush you out the door to get to the next patient. He's going to take the time to listen to you and find a resolution. I wouldn't trade him for the world and I would sit in that waiting room for days just to get seen by him. And as far as cosmetic procedures, I have gotten my lips filled with juvederm ultra xc by him and I absolutely love them! I have been to 3 other places before to have them done and no one has EVER perfected them the way he has! I am obsessed with them! Dr. Makar is my forever doctor and I recommend everyone just try him out and then you will see what I'm talking about. Oh and before I forget, Sally is his assistant and my God she will always go out of her way to make sure you're taken care of. And the new staff he has are awesome and they go the extra mile for you....

On April 16, I visited Dr. Maqar for Botox and filler. We discussed the pricing, and after asking for five minutes to consult my husband, I agreed to proceed at the price he offered. However, after that, the doctor left and never came back. When I asked his assistant to see him so we could proceed, she told me he had gone to another patient and asked me to wait at least another 45 minutes — even though I had already been waiting for more than three hours.

I decided to reschedule, especially since I live in New York and the clinic is in New Jersey. My new appointment was on April 30. After another long wait, the assistant told me they couldn’t do the filler because it wasn’t available. I offered to just get the Botox done, but she said it’s better to do both at the same time. She assured me they would call within a week once the filler was available.

Honestly, I felt something was off and doubted they would follow up — and they never did. I also had concerns about the doctor’s own appearance: the Botox and filler in his face looked very artificial and overdone, which made me even...
