Cooper Barn was built by my great, great uncle, Benjamin Foster with timbers harvested in 1926 from the Foster Lumber Company mill in Fostoria, Texas. The lumber was “first growth” timber from 32,000 acres which is fully stocked, 82 year old trees and now part of the Sam Houston National Forest 1935 donation.
