We needed a place to stay going home from our trip to Colorado. Since I am a Choice Hotels member, I reserved the room with points and a payment. I think they have a special room for people using points. We have stayed there before and it wasn't bad. This time they put us in a room with 1 TV away from the bed, no wash cloths, the air conditioner didn't work well, and the room is next to the storage room and the doors leading outside. The table had chips in it. Plus, they give you a mop bucket for a trashcan. I guess they don't offer the internet because the password was (--). I was woke up before 5 am with people going in and out those doors all morning. So I know showered with no wash cloths, and went to the breakfast room at 6 am. No one was at the front desk, so I searched and found it myself. The coffee was so weak, it looked like colored water. We went to leave and drop off the room key, and still no one was at the front desk. Only a basket that said leave your room key in the basket. There were about 12 room key cards already in there. Big disappointment! I will NOT ever stsy here again.

We were delighted with our stay at sleep inn. We were traveling from Kansas City to Denver and found it very easy to jump off the highway in Colby. The hotel was clean, the rooms were nicely appointed, and the staff was especially friendly and kind. In particular, I want to give a big shout out to the woman who was working breakfast the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was very busy and she was keeping up with everybody's special requests. In particular, I noticed that she carried a tray of food all the way up to someone's room as the young mother was struggling to manage all of the food and her children. It was a very kind thing to do and she did it with a smile. We were also pleased with the rates which were very fair. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Highly recommend this as an overnight or even an extended stay if you're in the Colby Kansas area.

This was by far the most uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. First off the AC in the room ran none stop and never cooled the room; which made sleeping impossible. The room smelled so strong of chemicals it gave me a headache it took hours for the smell to go away. The TV (as you can see in the pictures) is from the early 2000's, the picture was terrible and kept losing connection. TVs are so cheap no excuse for this company to not replace them. Lastly the shower was something out of a truck stop gas station by far the weirdest shower I have ever seen. Customer service was blah she seemed very bothered by me being there. Location was ok, its right next to a jimmy johns and a Walmart. This place just made me feel incredibly uncomfortable; from the dim yellow lighting everywhere to the bed sheets. I will never stay at this hotel chain again.

I would rate it zero if I could but the bed was comfortable so I would rate it at least 1 star & the room was spacious enough to move around except for the bathroom. I have a lot of issues with the room that we got and this was a king size bed room for $140 including taxes on the 2nd floor. ||||ISSUES: ||1. Front desk in the PM shift was not friendly & would not even make eye contact or start off with a welcoming demeanor or greet us. We have been standing there waiting for almost 10 mins after she assisted the guest before us and did not even apologize for the wait. She even accused us for staying more than 1 night when we were only here for 1 and did not even looked at our confirmation letter to verify. I looked at her name tag and her name was Savanna. Not sure if she just does not like her job or she was just having a really bad day but she was definitely not friendly at all. She gave us a quick run through with the hours of the amenities. Did not even show us where the elevators were or direct us to what floor we will be on. We just kinda had to figure it out ourselves. ||2. We got up to our room and I was really surprised how spacious it was and it looked clean to me the second I opened the door. The picture frames were a nice touch to the "looks" of the room although I do not really care for that. As we walked through the entire room we started seeing issues one after the other and it kept going even right before we went to bed. ||3. The shower head looks like 10 yrs old and it needs to be replaced it clearly has not been cleaned it had spots and it looked really scummy with molds same goes with the knob to turn it on and off its very weird. The shower floor had some hair according to my husband and I saw some dirt all over the corners of it and the water pressure was too hard on us. We were supposed to get a really nice bath before we slept but instead we ended up feeling much more filthy than ever.||4. The first thing I noticed was there were no trash can liners at all. Not sure if they did that on purpose or what. The hair dryer looked like it was gonna blow up on me when i tried to use it regardless if it was high or low in setting but it has no setting if i want it cool or hot and it looked cheap as well. ||5. The toilet paper in the gas stations looked more high quality that the ones in this room. I could see my hand through it and it rips easily. The vanity looked had their fake drawers but you cant actually pull them out. Theyre just there for looks I guess. ||6. I know most people dont really go through the coffee maker but this one was clearly left filthy with stains in it for a while. ||7. There was a long line of a stain right in the middle of the tap sheet of our bed and it was visible enough for someone to see and not place it there but they did it anyway for us to notice it. ||8. The lamp head/s were ripped in some parts of it and clearly needed to be replaced. ||9. The air conditioner does not seem to be cooling the entire room so the filter must be filthy as well.||10. The channels in the tv. Almost majority of them cant be watched at all. And you cannot filter the ones that you can and cant. It was really frustrating to troubleshoot but we just ended up turning it off since it was pointless. ||11. Also they do not have usb ports in the entire room and that was really a disappointment as well.||12. Their binder is hidden in the drawer and not sure why the survey card was at the very back for no one to see and it looked old and untouched but I found it so voila. ||||||I could hear any noise that the guests next door were making even if it was a faint sound I would still most likely hear it from these paper thin walls. The AC has been making really weird loud noises every now and then and its really annoying. ||||There could be more that we have not seen so far but overall it looks like the room was not well kempt and whoever cleaned this room did not really do a good job and it was not thoroughly inspected. The beds were comfortable to sleep in. I just wished the pillows were a bit larger because they look like throw pillows to me as well. Other than that, the room phone, the large working space were fine. The closet looked odd to me like a maintenance closet and could habe been better. Overall it was a big rip off and even if this was the best in colby in reviews we would definitely not recommend this to others and we would not return. Very disappointed &...

It was hard to sleep in the “Sleep Inn.” After putting my kids to bed, we went to get into our bed and discovered multiple used Kleenex and a black sock in between the sheets of our bed. I can’t say I’ve ever encountered this problem before, but it was super gross and didn’t inspire confidence in the overall cleanliness of the room. The front desk was helpful and we were offered a chance to change rooms, but since our kids were already asleep, we opted to remake our bed ourselves with new sheets. Once I mentally recovered from what just transpired, I was able to fall asleep. At 8am, we were all awakened by housekeeping knocking loudly on our door. When I came to the door, she had already moved on to the next room. So I guess we got a free, unscheduled wake-up call. Maybe it was because our “do not disturb” sign was missing, but obviously, we hadn’t even checked out, which wasn’t until 11. Very frustrating! To top it off, our room also had half-empty shampoo bottles and no working bathroom vent. I think with a competent housekeeper, this hotel would have been fine, but I can’t recommend staying here. ||Thankfully, I spoke to the manager over the phone the next day, and he refunded me 20%. I appreciate that, and realize mistakes happen, but I probably would not risk this hotel again unless I could be sure the housekeeper was not responsible for the...

My family and I spent last night in Colby, Kansas. The hotel is newer, and our accommodations were quite nice. We called ahead to make sure that our requests had been taken care of prior to arrival. The lady we answered was really nice. We had requested a suite on the top floor...and gluten free options for breakfast for our daughter. Our request for the top floor was not available as it been assigned. She also said that there were gluten free offerings including gluten free bagels. Upon checking in the lady checking us in informed us that third floor suite was now ours due to a cancellation! From that moment on, our stay deteriorated. When I asked the pool hours, our front desk person said, "We don't have a pool." Seriously? I asked if she knew if another Choice hotel had a reciprocal agreement to let kids swim. She said "no." I asked if she would at least call; she said "no." About 10PM I decided to use the hotels "office center computer." When I went to use it, I found a child of 8-10 years playing video games. I checked several times, the youngster was still playing. At breakfast, the breakfast room attendant was actually surly...not just to us, but basically everyone who asked her any question. As to the prior request for gluten free...the bagels "non-existant." So, our room was very good, but the rude staff over shadowed the two positives we...
