If I could give it less than one i would. This place is off the highway for travelers to stay. I called ahead and made sure they had a room with 2 queen beds as we were traveling with 4 children and even asked if the person I was talking to was at the hotel or a call center. The rep on the the phone said she was at the hotel and assured me they did have a room with 2 queen bed. I also asked if there was ample parking for the 26ft moving truck and another truck with us (both pulling trailers). Again was assured no problem. Upon arrival the parking lot was torn up due to construction. No room for parking either of the trucks. Then we were told they only had single king with a sofa in it. Turns out that room was also a hearing impaired and handicapped accessible room that had a walk in shower. Grudgingly accepted the room as it was after 10pm and we were tired from driving all day. Parked the trucks in two separate parking lots on either side of the hotel. Then found the shower was broken and would spray all over the bathroom. The night crew staff was anything but accommodating. It didn't effect them so there was no care. They did look at it and agreed that it could not be repaired immediately. They did offer to switch us to another single room but as we were already getting kids to bed did not. The morning staff was the exact opposite. Very apologetic and understanding. The night crew could care less that we were lied to on the phone or that there were any issues at all.
I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone and recommend some much needed hospitality training as they are in the...
Read moreI had stayed at this hotel over Christmas and had a wonderful night's stay. This time, however, my stay was anything but restful. I checked in and went to my room. When the elevator opened, I knew I was in for a noisy evening, as it appeared the entire floor was occupied by a traveling group of children/kids. There were several rooms that the doors where wide open and MANY kids (small to teenage) where in the rooms screaming and yelling and running up and down the hallways. I got to my room (last room on 3rd floor; right next to the stairwell) and continued to hear kids running up and down the hallways and slamming the stairway door over and over and over. More than once, I stuck my head out of the door to ask them to be quiet and close their doors; however, they continued. After several hours of trying to rest and being disturbed over and over again, I finally called the front desk to see if something could be done. The front desk clerk (who was very nice) said yes. Finally around 10 pm the noise quieted down so I could fall asleep (but I had stopped early in the evening, as I had to leave very early in the morning....so I did not get a restful sleep).
I feel that the front desk staff (although very nice) should have notified me that a large group of children where staying at the hotel upon check in (as I would have went elsewhere immediately or asked for a room away from them). Instead, I was put on the same floor - right next to the stairwell where the door slammed time and time again (and reverberated in the room loudly). I will think twice before...
Read moreNancy, the overnight worker called the police at around 08:00pm on my friend and I. We are traveling business folks and were outside letting off steam after a long day of travel.
I approached Nancy after we were interrogated by the police and asked her why she did that? It was not past quiet hours and we were outside simply chatting. She stated she was concerned for my safety because my friend was a little louder than I and another person residing in the hotel called to complain about us chatting outside. She took it upon herself to not come out and talk to us, but to call the police. I believe she racially profiled me because I am not of Caucasian descent.
What she did was not okay and the individual who called happened to be screaming out of their window to their friends, prior to this incident. I may not look like most but I am a disabled veteran and I am appalled that I still face discrimination, due to my looks on matters like this and Nancy should be fired for her behavior. If she has done this to me she has done this to someone else.
Stay blessed. Spread love to all walks of life.
