Horrible! The new owner is a foreigner - he said from india i believe. First time i stayed it was for a week. the hotel was ran by a female manager, she informed me she'd worked there for 17 years under a previous owner. The rooms were pleasant -service was good - little bit pricy for quality but i was satisfied. The past 2 times ive been there, the man at the front desk has had 2 different names - Informed me he is the Owner - first time he said he was Jiten, now he goes by Jay. Seems fishy to me. He was very very rude - hard to understand - and the prices were insane. Last two times the room i got was non-smoking and still reeked of smoke/urine. The final time i stayed when i got to the room I moved the dresser to plug in my computer and there were ants crawling all over! I requested a new room and he was very reluctant and quite rude about it. When situated in my new room neither the T.V. or Air conditioner would work (It was first of August and very hot). Once again i tried to be pleasant and ask for another room and Jiten/Jay started ranting about how he shouldnt move me to a new room and didnt understand why those things were ment i needed new room. Finally the 3rd room I got to, when i pulled back the comforter the sheets were completely soiled! Now im not one to complain usually and dont typically stay in that nice of hotels so if it had be nothing major I would of just looked past it. But that was enough for me - I went up to the front and asked for my money back. Jiten/Jay/Jack* then informed me he would not return my money weather i stayed or not. -Also, half the amenities listed dont exist. There is no Golf, the breakfast consists of toast-instant oatmeal and coffee. the parking is limtited(I had to park in the parking lot of Orschelns which is a good walk away from the hotel) After my last stay, that was it, I will never stay at that hotel again. Only thing good about the place was that it had numerous fast food stops nearby, but guess what - theres also 6 other hotels in the exact same area. Maybe one of them will be owned by 1. an american, and 2. someone who actually knows how to...
Read moreOne hates to give less than desirable reviews but then again one hates to get less than desirable accommodations. This hotel is a hotel. No I don't suppose that's going to do is it so the staff are actually very friendly and nice folks and when I brought to their attention some of the issues with the room they explained that they had new equipment new furniture and so forth on the way. The issues that I encountered in the room were a extremely wobbly tabletop. A extremely wobbly however still wobbly toilet not just the seat folks, the actual toilet was not firmly bolted to the floor. Aside from the wobbly aspects of various accoutrement in the room something that odds are management will not be able to fix is the water. The water had a odd smell to it and was on the soft side. Soft water of course many of us understand is better than hard water and the slippery feeling that you have after bathing is actually an indication of healthy skin it leaves the hair nice and hydrated instead of squeaky. if you are not used to soft water however it may put you off just a bit. So I'm not sure if this is a municipal water issue or some other factor at hand. Realistically the water was just a slight annoyance. Furniture and fixtures that are not secure however do raise the odds of someone being hurt. I did notify the management of both of these issues and unfortunately will not be back through the area anytime soon to check on it. one can only hope that they heated my warning of potential insurance liability. They do have a typical breakfast kind of thing in the morning. My advice is to inspect your room first and simply to be sure all is well and proper and I'm sure if it's not they will switch your room with no issue. I'm not advising against this hotel I'm simply letting you know the issues that I found. All of this being said there is a hotel directly next door at which I have stayed and found to...
