Motel 6 Colby, KS — Hotel in Colby

I'm usually a fan of Motel 6, but this stay was awful. Tub diverter was broken, tub didnt drain. So I had the privilege of attempting a 2 minute power shower with limited shower water while standing in several inches of water. All of the plugs by the bed either did not work or the GFI's were too loose and did not hold, so my phone/alarm had to be plugged into the bathroom. At 6:30 this AM the ROOMS PHONE kept ringing (also located on the opposite side of the room) and when I would get up to answer it, I was greeted with a pornographic recording. Sure glad I didn't have my minor son with me this trip. The AC though working, runs extremely loud and sounds like a motor starting up each time, makint sleep very difficult, and when I would sleep I would be woken up to the pornographic recording. There were dead bugs and beetles all over the floor of my room. I had to make a trail of bath towels to be able to walk around without shoes on. All of the towels and washcloths were old, mismatched, dingy, and stained. They resembled the rags I clean my toilets with at home. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke even though I stayed in a non smoking section. When I brought these issues to the front desk staff (older lady and younger guy who seemed to be training her?) They were unapologetic and did not seem concerned whatsoever, no attempt at making it right. Very poor experience. AS WELL IT'S RAN BY THE PATELS THEY ARE NO GOOD BAD PEOPLE SCAMMERS GOOGLE THE PATALS YOU'LL LEARN ALL ABOUT HOW THEY SCAM HOW THEY GET THE MOTELS AND APARTMENTS IN LOWER END AREAS AMONGST SO MANY OTHER DIRTY THINGS THEY DO AND HAVE DOWN EVEN MORE LITTLE DOES THIS MOTEL KNOW I'VE WORKED FOR THEM MYSELF IN THE MY PAST IN ANOTHER STATE UNTIL I SEE AND LEARNED THE WAY THEY ARE HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE AND WHAT THEY REALLY THINK OF US AMERICANS. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS MOTEL SUPPORTING SCAMMERS PEOPLE WHO RIP OFF PEOPLE..!! I had booked this motel on a website more than a week out. On a longer trip back home to Denver, as soon as he saw me he said "Pets?" I said no I have a service animal. He turned me away immediately stating they had no pet rooms available. I informed him it was not a pet, it was a service animal. He told me again no pets. I reminded him I was federally protected to bring my service animal in and he refused me service and acted like he did me a favor and canceled the room for free. I got ahold of the online booking site I used, and Mr. Patel lied to them and told them it was due to maintenance. This was a horrible man with horrible service. I was turned away because I had a service animal. I should honestly press charges. I would not recommend staying here. I have a PTSD service dog that is 16 pounds, trained to behave very well and I've never had a problem with staying or entering anywhere until I went to this motel AND the Super8 across the road, who will be getting almost exactly the same review. Colby is not accessible friendly and I'd recommend you avoid. Drive the extra half hour to Super8 in Goodland with impeccable service and clean rooms if you're...
