Went in this afternoon to get my hair done, it was very overdo but I still didn't want to lose too much length. I booked specifically with Freddie after reading reviews. I went in with my 2 small children and was paying attention to them during the cut. We discussed that I had previously colored my hair and it had melted significantly but that the stylist at the time had cut the most damaged parts off. I had also stated that it does tangle when we still due to remaining damage but I managed with it. I've put in almost 2 years to regrow my hair from the previous damage and my plan was to do a couple smaller trims to start taking off the damage a little at a time as my hair length holds extreme weight in my self image and confidence.
I showed the screenshot I posted here and said that was what I wanted. LONG layers. Bangs. And face framing. But it was specifically to be mostly trim. I trusted her to do what was needed. She started with the initial cut on my bangs. We decided to do them longer but the adjust them if needed. At the end of the cut Freddie turned me around and pulled my hair to the front, over my shoulders. I was in shock. She took all of my length and nonchalantly said "it was a BIG chop but you needed it."
Basically admitting she had taken it upon herself to decide to chop it all. I paid. Left. And called my husband. I've sobbed for the remainder of the day until now.
Where I understand it's hair and will grow back, I was specific with the picture I showed that I wanted to keep my length and I don't think it's fair she made the choice to take so much of it off without my consent. I am mortified. I don't even want to go outside. I've NEVER had my hair this short in my life. I tried to like it. I came home and showered, styled it like I normally would. Everytime I look at it now, my stomach twists.
I've attached 2 pictures of my hair previously, 1 screenshot that I used to show what I wanted, and 1 picture of how I left. Will be returning tomorrow to speak with the manager now that the shock...
Read moreI've been a longgggg time customer here . & today , for the first time I was truly disappointed and I won't be back . This has been my salon for two years & ive never ran into this type of laziness / rudeness / flat out someone refusing to do their job . Today I walked in just after 5 pm and I was requesting to get my hair lightened just a little more . 2 1/2 weeks prior the manager who normally does my hair told me to come back in two weeks to lighten a little more so I did . And I chose today because I have a baby shower to attend tomorrow . However , the African American woman with the short hair with blonde tips refused to color my hair . (I'm guessing because you close at 8pm and I came in a little after 5 and she wasn't willing to take on that job ) I tried to debate with her but she proceeded to ask me questions "aren't you pregnant" to which o answered yes . And she said "oh well that's probably why it won't lighten as good " I said no my hair was just really dark so I need to do more than one application . She squinted her face and said "I won't feel comfortable doing that , just wait for the lady who normally does it " . First off , if you don't feel comfortable doing hair then you probably have the wrong profession . Secondly , im a paying customer and you just screwed me over when I needed my hair done the most . Thirdly you didn't refuse to do my hair until after my husband had already driven off after dropping me off . I literally left the salon crying . Now I won't be able to attend this event tomorrow all because you wanted to make sure you avoided doing my hair in the event that you couldn't close early or get out soon enough . I will never ever be back there and I intend on calling the manager and letting her know why . I will take my business on...
Read moreMy haircut is HORRIFIC! A week has passed (2/23/18) since Autumn, stylist??? cut my hair. I contemplated of doing this review, and come to the conclusion after much humiliation and now having the need to wear a hat until I get some hair growth, that my experience should be shared. I frequently came to this specific establishment with confidence that I would leave with a very nice haircut. First time Autumn cuts my hair, so I share specifics regarding the blade gauge #5 to use, along with a picture for reference. Upon Autumn giving me the handheld mirror to look at the back of my haircut, I could only express my reaction, through an outburst of tears, "What did you do?". Autumn without asking took the liberty to switch the gauge to a 3 1/2. Bree, Assistant Manager came over to try to fix the damage to the best of her ability. At this time Autumn leaves the shop, and it's then revealed that Autumn's performance has been of ongoing concern. Now, I, a pass customer, has to pay the price for a decision that should have been made at a management level (Angel, Manager and Bree, Assistant Manager) to have allowed an inadequate stylist to continue performing any services. To note, both managers were apologetic; sometimes "sorry" just doesn't cover it... Only A Hat,...
