Service - 4 Stars - I could see how maybe they would have issues with a larger party or a busy night. Super friendly and nice though!

Food - 5+ Stars - My entree order was damn tasty. Little Korean appetizer plates are a mixture of magnificent and awful, depends wildly on your personal tastes!

Value - 5 Stars - 16 bucks before tip left me bloated and happy. If you don’t order a seafood dish, you could easily have tasty leftovers.

Ok, so a couple of caveats here.

One) If you order something spicy on the menu, it is not “American spicy”. You’ve been warned. Having said that, I’ve been all over the world and I love “real” spicy food. They do it correctly here and if you like spicy food too, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It is the flavorful heat, the slow burn, not the hot that Americans seem to love (?), the nuclear explosion of vinegar and just “hot”. They do have non-spicy items on the menu.

Two) I got the pork and squid stir fry inside the menu. If you don’t like seafood particularly, DON’T ORDER IT HERE. My plate was awesome! But it was fishy from the squid. I guess that makes it sound unappetizing, I assure you it was not. Some people, just have this perception of seafood in America... this is very not American.

Those two things said, you need to find the time to come here. Bring your hunger and a friend, you won’t be disappointed if you like ‘real’ Asian food (proper Chinese and such). If your expecting Panda Express, you will probably...

This restauraunt has been nearby and I never thought to go in. Strip mall businesses or restauraunts don't always appeal to me. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is one of the highest rated Korean restaurants in the city.

Everything about this visit made me nervous until I opened the doors. This place was CLEAN. I was immediately relieved when I had walked in and saw that it was well kept and the design was nice. They had some Korean based shows and news on the TVs. I personally enjoy visiting places that actively promote their culture and language. The furniture was strong as well as the tables.

For our appetizers, Bibimbap and some spicy-sauced dough that I can't recall the name of. For entrees, a black bean sauce noodle dish and Pork Cutlet. We were both quite satisfied with the range of flavor and how much it didn't taste like your average restauraunt food. Though I have never traveled, this is what I imagine moving away from average American dishes feels like.

I was happy with the entire experience.

Everythinf was fresh and the dishes were clean. Our server was friendly and open to conversation. Everything I want in my visits to a restauraunt were met in a place that I pass by everyday. I honestly can't wait to go back and I really hope that they are able bring their Korean BBQ option back in...

This small Korean restaurant is absolutely fantastic! I have been here maybe 8 times in the past 6 months and have never had anything but kind and caring service from the owner and staff. The food has ALWAYS, without exception, been phenomenal! I have tried the bulgogi (both beef and pork versions), black noodles (which are on a separate menu), mackerel braised in spicy sauce (which is the whole fish minus the head so it still has little needle-thin bones in it which are generally soft enough to chew up and swallow if you are conscious about it, otherwise they are easy enough to find and remove. The fish is extremely delicious and worth it!), steamed dumplings, a dish called Kimchi Jeyuk Bokkeum on the menu which is sliced pork belly meat stir fried with kimchi (and I have them add squid for a little extra and it's probably my favorite thing on the menu because the spicy sauce and oil they cook it in is like crack-level addicting and super flavorful), a pork cutlet dish that I don't remember the name of, and the sides that come with everything are always very good as well! There are other Korean restaurants in the area and I can attest that they are all good, but if you want the best, or have been to the others and want to try a change, definitely go to Sura Korean. Tell the owner...

You wouldn’t think to go there - the sole going concern in a bombed-out strip mall, looking on the outside like it’s dead too, but open that door that looks like you shouldn’t, and it’s clean and neat. Airy and open. Then the bulging I comes. A huge pile of thin beef without gristle, strips of cabbage, carrots, and onions in a slightly sweet mildly sauce. Then the lady sets down 5 steel bowls, holding bean sprouts, sweet roasted potato chunks slightly spicy sausage in a sweet sauce, some sort of frittered shredded squash, and the best and spiciest kimchi I’ve ever had. The rice is perfect, too. If I were one of those “influencer” losers I would have thought to get a pic of the spread and then of the clean plate and bowls, but I didn’t think of anything like that until I looked back from the car and realized that the outside was the reason there was only one other customer. I’ll probably regret posting this since I’ll be back in town next week, but they SHOULD be a hard place to get a table.
