Public Notice Mark Wahlberg Shame on you I purchased A warranty for My 2019 Rollback my my protection against breakdown so to my disappointment my engine blew I wasn’t worried because I purchased a power train warranty for 2 years /24000miles or which came first for $4,500.00 from Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet in Columbus Oh My 2019 Rollback now sits at a ford dealership for 60days and counting now so I went through the warranty process and after the inspection they told me that warranty I purchased was no good due to the dealership negligence to check the correct box that this 2019 Rollback was a Commercial Vehicle since this box was unchecked is now why my truck is still not repaired this is how things went from bad to worse so over the time I was in contact with Nick the finance manager and finally I seen some light at the end of the tunnel I was told that warranty company was picking up the tab and all I was responsible for was my deductible for the warranty which was $100.00 and that because of the cost of the repairs my warranty would be cancelled due to the cost so I was relieved I confirmed with Ford dealership they assured me the repairs were being taken care of so about 2 weeks later I received a call from Nick the finance manager asking me to cancel the warranty and distribute the funds to the dealership this red flag has raised some serious concerns because how is the warranty company taking care of repairs if they were canceling the warranty why I’m I paying a deductible plus now they want the $4500.00 as well Customers new and old if you were sold this warranty product I ask you carefully review and make sure all the appropriate warranty was sold for your vehicle I just don’t believe in no business that have deceptive business practices Thanks for the response but I’ve already spoken with Mr Gilmore and according to him this was all his idea and then he threatened that he was going to his legal department when in our contract states arbitration so if there is some one else that is perhaps may want to make sense of this situation I’m all ears Day 63 for me and my business and family

Don't believe a word the Mark Whalberg Chevrolet people say. When I went in to trade my 2023 Dodge Charger Rt, the people that work there acted like my best friends. The salesman that was working with me was working with 3 other people at the same time, I had no clue what was going on or where he was most of the time I was there, I explained I wasn't feeling good because I'm diabetic and hadn't eaten and I was at the dealership over 6 hours, when I went to the bathroom it was completely flooded with water everywhere. I didn't get to test drive the truck I traded for because it was completely out of gas and the deal I got was a very bad deal for me, I lost over $9,000.00, from the amount of money I had paid for my trade in but it was a very good deal for the dealership because they've already sold my car and made about $10,000.00 on the sale of my car. I still haven't received a check for the balance of my trade, which is $6,000.00, and I've gotten nothing but run around from everyone I've spoken to. The sales manager sent someone to get me a cheese burger and fries but buy the time I received then they were cold. When I was signing the paperwork for the trade deal, I explained that I wasn't feeling well and I couldn't even see what I was signing. I feel that if someone tells the dealership they're not feeling well, they should tell them to go home and come back later when they feel better! The dealership took full advantage of me because they knew they could make a big profit of the sale of my trade-in, and they did. As far as I'm concerned, the deal isn't complete because I haven't been paid for my trade-in, and to make things worse, they've already sold my trade-in. I am very disappointed in Mark Whalberg Chevrolet I traded my beautiful 2023 Dodge Charger in for the Red 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. My charger was perfect, and the truck has lots of problems, and the dealership just keeps giving me the run around about everything!

Horrible from DAY 1 when purchasing as well as bringing in my vehicle for service. I have been lied to and just completely undermined by folks in Sales as well as Service. The burden has been placed on me regarding pre-existing vehicle issues. I was advised by Kris in Service Dept. that the warranty would not cover, then I was advised they did. When I came in to pick up the vehicle, I feel as though Paul made an attempt to undermine me as well as completely ignore my request to speak to someone anyone that can make decisions regarding the invoice. ON TOP of all that, the invoice reflects that all issues have been resolved, but they were not resolved at all. The lift gate is still making the same noise, the passenger window still does not roll down, I was charged for the seat belt being twisted that was completely a pre-existing issue. About a day after getting the vehicle back, I received a call from a gentleman that (I think) may be MGMT in Service Dept. he advised that I could bring the vehicle back, but he would need to charge me for his Guy's time. I am sick to my stomach as to how to address all of these issues. I am seriously considering small claims court. However, I still have a bit more optimism that it may all work out, I just don't know who is next in the chain of command to talk to before I go that route.

I brought my truck in because I was hearing a squealing sound when performing right turns thinking that maybe it was wheel bearings. The service department notified me (2 days later) that they were unable to replicate the noise and asked me to come in to do a test drive with the tech so we could verify what I was hearing. After the test drive it was determined that it was no the bearings but it was the brakes (wear on the pads and rotors, first time I was hearing of this, but i digress). So we did the brakes (rotors, pads), a break line flush, and an oil change. I was called and told that the service had been completed and ready for pick up. I arrived around 3 pm, saw that my truck was parked outside of the bay doors, went inside to pay and was on my way. Or so I thought.....

When I started my truck the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Check engine light, traction light, and an error displaying reduced engine power. How could this have been missed? someone had to move my truck from where the services had been performed to the bay doors. The truck was also running with a noticeable muffled sound when idling. No way this wasn't the case for whoever moved the vehicle. Should have been evident that something was wrong.

So I go back inside and inform my attendant of the issue and they then take it back to have it looked at again. 2 hours go bye, I am still in the lot waiting. My attendant did reach out to me a few time to notify me that they were troubleshooting and would update me as information was available. Finally, close to closing time I am informed that I would be receiving a rental for the weekend (long weekend, Labor Day). Then this process takes almost another half an hour to complete because the person who typically works in the rental department was out of office.

The tech comes out and gives me the explanation that when the "brake pedal(?)" was detached, while performing the fill for the oil change that likely it was overfilled and some of the oil had made contact with the connection and this was why it was performing the way it was. Said that they tried to switch out the pedal completely but still to no go.

I am disappointed because all of the issues I encountered came after I had paid and was ready to drive off. Again, how was the truck moved from where the maintenance was performed to where I picked it up without this being noticed?

In the past I have inquired about have some issues looked at at this location and the answer is always " if we want to go this route, you will likely be without a vehicle for X amount of days" and "we won't even be able to look at it for X days", almost like I am being dissuaded from have the service done here all together.

I have heard from several other customers (family, friends) as well who have had similar experiences and are in the same boat as me.... Likely not going to continue bring my vehicle to Mark Wahlberg any time soon. Looking for other options or dealerships to turn to. It's unfortunate too, the proximity is what drove me to come here in the first place and now I am likely going to Findlay, Ohio and LaRiche Chevrolet instead which is an hour and a half away just to have that confidence that I believe I deserve as a customer.

I have a few other experiences with this location that were not stellar, but I will go ahead and stick to this specific service for now. I was "awarded" a free oil change for my trouble, so maybe I will be in one more time. Likely after that, I will not. I do want to stress that the people I personally have dealt with were not rude in any way. I just felt like once I presented the "new" situation to them that I was the inconvenience and not the...

Below are my tweets to Mark Whalberg asking him to have his dealership release my mom from a 2017 Chevy Trax. At this time the better business bureau, legal aid, and attorney general are involved to help her get her money back for the lemon she purchase Dec 4th of 2024 due to the poor condition the car was in after later inspection. If a representative of the dealership would like to expedite this process please contact us. The dealership offered to fix all the issues identified for an additional $3K as of my initial posting of this message.

During the span of this she has overheard

markwahlberg Hello Sir,

I’m just a guy from Ohio who loves his mom. My mom bought a used Chevy Trax from your dealership in Columbus, OH late last year. Day after she purchased it she was having problems with the vehicle. She took the car to get checked out by the dealership, they worked on it, and even let her use a rental. I was grateful they did as she needs a vehicle for work as she goes to various elders home to take care of them each day. Even on Christmas.

She got car back, still has issues. So she took the car back to the dealership. They work on it more. It has come to a point now they won’t work on the car anymore at the dealership so she is paying money for local mechanics to fix.

I share all of this to ask you to have your company take back the vehicle.

I should have went with her to make sure she had a diagnosis tan on the vehicle but I did not and I blame myself for that. Now she needs to use my vehicle while hers is in the shop. Lucky I work remote.

More like blessed. Once again, I’m just a guy from Ohio that loves his mom and does not want to see her drop $$$$ into a clunker to get from A to B. If given the chance I will be with her whenever she gets a new car moving forward to prevent her from making the same mistake.

@markwahlberg hey I am reaching out to share my mom is bringing the car back to your Columbus dealership for at least the fourth since she purchased the Chevy trax in Dec last year. Please take the car back and have the loan apply to a better vehicle

@markwahlberg I took the Chevy Trax from your Columbus dealership my mom purchased. There is fluid dripping mixing into the oil. Causing the oil to have a milky look to it. The mechanics believe the dealership either never gave the car an oil change because if they did they would

Have seen the milky oil and never sold the car. The mechanic found that all of the codes were cleared that would have had the dashboard light up from the various issues the car is having. I believe your dealership is being poorly ran by whomever is in charge. We spoke with the loan provider of the vehicle today @markwahlberg they advised that we take the vehicle back to your dealer and have them fix it all or have loan canceled. Blessed that the state of Ohio has solid laws against selling lemons. Once again I am asking you to have the shop take the vehicle back or resolve the many issues wrong with the car they sold my mom. Please

Hey Mark,

My mom is working with legal aid. They said she has a case. She will have a lawyer contact them to get the money back for...

Purchased a new car February 2024. I am leaving my review after the 1st 10 months of ownership.

Sale process: (delt with B-Rad) Sales team seemed professional and helpful during time of purchase. Although would not give my wife and time to discuss individually the purchase. To the point we had to leave and discuss and home and come back. Even coming out and asking directly to be left alone to discuss did not work. There was also something missed during the sales process, and we got talked to multiple times about this before weeks after buying the car. There was also a lot of what felt like guilt playing on leaving a perfect review.

Finance: (Do not remember who) Pushed for warranties, and asked specific questions about the warranty and was assured it would not be an issue. I bought the maintenance warranty (to cover brakes) and tires. We have not had to replace the brakes yet due to miles driven. Our tire warranty was utilized (Due not recommend see maintenance section below).

Maintenance: (Multiple service technician- seem nice and friendly,) We (Wife and I) have made appointments through the app and am giving some grace with the hacks and technical issues that are not the dealerships or anyone's fault. We have had 3 oil changes and 1 unplanned servicing We have never had an appointment less than 2 hours, we do not plan on getting out of there in in timely fashion.

As for the tires we made an appointment and where able to get in within 24 hours which is fair. The tire had metal about 1/2" in length and 1/8" wide needing a repair. Our tire warranty only covered the 1 tire punctured and not all 4. I was told all 4 needed replaced as it is all wheel drive (this is an industry standard and not a complaint). This situation was asked about directly when being pushed to by the tire warranty, I have owned all-wheel drive vehicle for over a decade and only buy the warranty if it was not something I needed to worry about. This was most likely a miscommunication and at worst a lie from the finance department and not a reflection of the service department.

The next issue was the tires where not in stock. This is a car I bought new from the dealership and would expect they keep the standard tire size of the vehicles they sale (only 1 of 4 in stock). But I was told they could get tires the next day. I was able to take time off work to have the fix completed. Come the next morning I showed up at the scheduled time and was told the tires had not arrived yet. It took another 1.5 hours for the tires to be delivered. I had already taken the time to call and schedule a tire change at another company but stayed at the dealership as 1 of the 4 tires had already been changed and I would not receive a discount at the other plant.

I understand there is little profit in tires and warranty work but am disappointed in reliability. If it was not for warranties bought, I would take the car to a different dealership, or 3rd party maintenance shop. Not due to cost but efficiency, and reliability.

Sales: 3/5 Finance:...
