AROUND TAHOE TOURS / TALBOT FINE ART GALLERY — Attraction in Incline Village-Crystal Bay

When we have guests who want to see more of Lake Tahoe, we offer to drive them around the Lake. Usually I drive and we tell them what we know of the geology and history of our area. This time, seven of us let the professionals do the work. We have seen the Around Tahoe Tour van parked on Tahoe Boulevard in Incline Village and heard Darin Talbot sing in several restaurants. Our timing was not perfect since it was the middle day of Labor Day weekend. We were shocked at the traffic backups turning right into Sand Harbor State Park on the North Shore and Pope Beach on the South Shore, but we certainly enjoyed the extra hour with Darin telling us more tales about the area. The entire time was filled with good conversation, lore, and history, of which Darin has an endless supply. The day was broken up with a pleasant shoreline restaurant mid-day meal. We learned of the tour from Welk Northstar Resort in mid April. At our update with Welk, we received a voucher for one of us to travel free. However, since we were first-timers at Lake Tahoe, we would have selected this tour anyway. The CD audio (original music) and historic audio by Darin was so professional. We found Chris to be extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. This was one of the best tours we have ever taken. Chris is a professional photographer and took all of our pictures for safekeeping on our phones. We had a wonderful picnic lunch- please note that this is at your own cost.
