Thai Recipe — Restaurant in Incline Village-Crystal Bay

Came here and at first it was good but then the service was terrible. It was not busy when we arrived. Servers walked by and ignored us, we waited for an hour before we got our food. There were tables that arrived after us, got their food, and left before our food came out to us. When we finally started to get food it didn't come out all at once or even in an acceptable time frame. Two people in our party were waiting for 15-20 minutes for their food after everyone else got their food. When we all finally got our food we decided to take it to go and had to ask for boxes twice before someone actually brought them to us. Then when we were brought the bill a women gave it to us and said she was "sorry about the wait" and gave us a discount. It was a 5% discount for a party of six and an already included 18% gratuity. When we tried to talk to them about the service and the issues we had she just kept saying "sorry, I gave you a discount" and then walked away. We went up to the counter to pay the bill and tried talking to her again. We were given the same apology and "we gave you a discount" then she said "we got busy with to go orders". We asked why we weren't even told about there being a wait and why we were ignored. The response we we got was "you should have asked" and she didn't let us talk and kept interrupting with her apology and doing nothing else to compensate. This experience was unacceptable. The food was ok, certainly nothing special. The chicken in all of our dishes was overcooked. We tried the lunch specials with pad Thai. We ordered an additional large side of rice from their regular menu to have with our curry and honey garlic chicken. They brought us one small bowl of rice instead. They did apologize and brought us another small bowl of rice after we mentioned this to our server. The spice levels on the food did not seem very consistent. My dad and I both ordered level three (out of 5) for the spice, and his curry was much less spicy than my honey garlic chicken. Over all the portions were pretty good for the price considering the general area. The service was not very impressive. Although they did bring us more rice, they did not come to refill our waters until we were ready to leave and I do not recall them checking to see if we needed anything else at any point. I want a refund or reduction in price for my order with Thai street cafe on 14 July 2024. I have screen shots and text messages to prove what they did with my original order. I placed an order last night, 13 July for delivery today, 14 July between 12-12:30. We were expecting a handful of guests around noon. At about 12 noon, I decided to check Uber eats and to my surprise, the restaurant CANCELLED my order without notification or a phone call. There was no explanation for the cancellation. I was in panic. I had no choice but to reorder and I paid for the “PRIME” delivery of $1.99. The app said delivery will occur within 40 minutes. After 45 minutes I texted Daniel, the delivery guy who told me he was still at the restaurant and they were still preparing my orders. Meanwhile, my guests were starving!!! I did not keep track of the delivery time but I believe Daniel dropped off my second order around 1:10 pm. This is unacceptable. Uber eats should not tolerate this...
