I brought my MacBook Pro to Brambleton for a water damage diagnostic. I was told by multiple staff that the water damage my computer had was irreparable and it was suggested that I purchase a new computer outright. I was told verbatim, “Every signal that water damage has occurred is present. This computer could fail at any point. Would you like to recycle this one and buy a new one?”. Brambleton computer staff told me my MacBook showed signs of extreme liquid damage and that two major components of the computer needed to be replaced, in the amount of $1100 for parts and labor. This seemed outrageous given that the repair quote was more expensive than the computer when purchased new. I took the laptop to a local repair shop and it was fixed for 50 DOLLARS. This repair company told me there were NO signs of water damage on the inside of the laptop and that it had 95% functionality, and there was no reason to believe it would die due to the liquid incident. The computer is completely functional.
I am highly, highly dissatisfied with my experience at Brambleton computer. I refuse to believe that a difference of $1,050 in repair cost is the result of an accidental and incorrect diagnosis. Frankly I believe this represents an incident of a literal attempted theft. Stealing a laptop for profit by telling customers that their devices are unsalvageable and suggest they give them up for free to Brambleton.
Also, the employee interactions I had were very poor. There was no explanation of what specifically was wrong with my laptop. The staff member who told me to purchase a new computer simply said, “it’s really bad,” and didn’t offer anything beyond this.
These are salespeople before they are repair people. I feel deceived and I think with sadness about all of the people who have likely been swindled out of money from this company before now. Ridiculous, truly. I will not be returning and will suggest others do the same.

Read moreMy last couple of visits in June 2023 proved just as impressive as all the others I've experienced over the last several years.
What has been refreshingly consistent: a quick, attentive acknowledgement of the visit, a patient, listening, and understanding service agent, an efficient preliminary assessment of the computer related issue(s) or sometimes an immediate remedy as with my last visits, and a very reasonable fee, known upfront.
Actually, these last two visits were no charge, as they were addressing some unexpected issues related to previous product and service purchases. I was surprised, but a happy camper!
I've never felt rushed or unattended. They have a comfortable waiting area, and someone usually offers a drink from their cooler.
Each encounter has been very pleasant and satisfying, owing mainly to the perceived caliber of kindness, friendliness, honesty, and technical know-how each service person has demonstrated. If I remember correctly, almost every technical issue I have brought to them has been resolved. And just about every question or curiosity has been satisfied - which says alot for this curious boy!
The atmosphere here has always felt authentic to me, coming from authentic folks wanting to help and serve, while also being eager to learn more from the next daunting challenge brought in. It doesn't at all have that sticky, uncomfortable feel of pretentious professionalism.

I came back from a trip to find it with a dead operating system drive and work from my trip was pressing me. I was actually dreading having to send this off to be repaired but fortunately I had just seen a commercial for Brambleton Computer with some testimonials from people I knew and trusted, and it mentioned they worked on macs, so I called them. Without question I got exceptional service from this phone call onward. Mac clients don't always experience that because of lower market share, but I actually had my computer back with a professionally installed new drive AND a memory upgrade within 24 hours. They had all the the parts in stock.... no wait for parts, and I didn't even have to plead with them to expedite due to my work. They were ON IT with their regular customer service. And the repair cost was SUPER REASONABLE without the hassle of taking it to an Apple store or ship it off. Needless to say, I am impressed. The whole operation is top notch, and you can see that the minute you walk through the door. Pleasant professional greeting, immediately. If I could get my bicycle fixed this quickly, life would be perfect. Thank you for such honest, knowledgable, and expeditious professional help....
