It has been about 10 years since my move from Roanoke, and it was around Christmas that I felt the need to come back. To settle my mid day hunger, I had felt the need to explore a newly open eatery within my area. As a foodie that has traveled across the world, Japan being one of those stops, it is to no surprise that I've had my fair share of Ramen. Indefinitely I came to this place not expecting much from a humble area, however, I can say that this place has exceeded my expectation to what is conventionally "good Ramen". The flavors and consistency throughout the Ramen surpassed anything I have tasted from within and out of the 540 area. I would even go as far as say that the Ramen that I had - the spicy garlic and tonkotsu- was as good if not better than those I had tried in popular spots like the popular Ichiran Ramen or local shops within Tokyo. Needless to say I will be coming back to my next...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place but the food needs a lot of improvement. The teriyaki chicken is not it. They put pepper on it and it overpowers the food and you can’t taste the teriyaki. And they don’t use chicken breasts they use other parts of the chicken which also makes it less than desirable. I’m willing to give them a second chance but they will have to fix the teriyaki chicken at least cut down on the pepper. I don’t know why you would use pepper on something like that. But also the sauce isn’t very thick either which if it was good wouldn’t matter but it’s not good. The spring rolls were ok, not great but ok. As far as service goes though it is amazing they seem to appreciate the business which is why I want to give them another try. Hopefully they will improve on the food. I know they are still new so I will...
Read moreSince the restaurant's opening las year in which the owner used to be taking care of customers and food prep etc etc, things have changed.
The food, cleanliness and the service is not as good, overall decline in quality have noticeably declined.
The Hibachi chicken was extremely salty to the extend that I couldn't finish it and the Beef bugogi bowl was the opposite, very sweet.
The cashier and kooks were not hospitable, not greeting and welcoming us like the owner used to be.
They acted more as if they were annoyed and inconvenienced by our precense.
All the tables needed a good wiping as there was left overs and grease on them. Not clean at all.
I hope the owner gets to read this review and acts to remedy it accordingly.
Otherwise don't expect to be in business...
