Brambleton Deli — Restaurant in Virginia

Lightening fast service today for lunch! Food was delicious, and serving sizes were plentiful. It was raining, so didn't eat outside, but there's a nice umbrella shaded patio which is very pleasant and usually cool on a hot day. Prices are reasonable and staff are cordial. The menu is varied, ranging from different salads, to subs/sandwiches to more dinner entree type dishes. My favs are the nachos (which you can make a half order if you like), the chef salad ( filled with lots a deli meats, cheeses, veggies and croutons) and if course the BD Special, a varied meaty sub with slaw and cheeses. Overall, good service, friendly staff, large menu, and tasty dishes!

Updated 8/5/22 Same great, friendly service. The food came very fast, and was tasty and fresh. It was just too hot for an outside lunch, but the umbrella patio is welcoming. Ordered the chef salad (various greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, sliced onions & peppers, with cubes of turkey, ham, croutons, two types of cheese, and delicious honey mustard dressing). Very refreshing on a hot summer day! My dining partner ordered chicken salad plate, with cole slaw and fruit. Only complaint was the pineapple in the fruit salad seemed to be the impossible to chew core pieces. Chicken salad was excellent, filled with goodies, and flavorful. Everything was up in price a little since my last visit, but expected that in this economy! Photo is of my leftovers for dinner from this generous sized chef salad .🥗

Updated 2/3/24 Same great service from a smiling wait staff person who was very attentive and remembered things! I had Half BD Special and dining partner had Half Turkey Club. Both came with chips and we got a hot basket of fries to share I thought the catsup was exceptionally good tasting.. really sweet and fresh. 😀 The sandwiches were good, but the bread on both were a tad over toasted. The onion was rather strong in my sandwich, but not the fault of the chef. Both Half Sandwiches were ample in size, with plenty to enjoy for lunch. Always consistent good food and service at the Brambleton Deli!.

Updated August 2025 Chose the special Carolina Burger (not on regular menu) a wonderfully messy beef burger topped with coleslaw, onions, mustard, cheese and topped with Chilli. I chose to have the Chilli on the side, and glad I did because it tasted like canned. Without the Chilli, it was still a very tasty unusual burger which needs to be put on tne regular menu. The mustard pulled coleslaw and all the flavors together, into a very tasty dish. My dining mate chose the barbecue sandwich which was large, packed with juicy meat, with your choice of sauce on the side. It was deemed delucious. We ate here yesterday for first time for Mother's Day. We were party of 7. So I was very open minded to that. Got there at 6pm. We were seated right away In dining room. 2 Other tables taken. Greeted by waitress. Got drinks quickly and straws and napkins. Placed order which included 1 appetizer. Spinach and artichoke dip. It came quickly. Brought out by gentleman. After that we waited for each of our entrees. We waited and waited and waited and waited. Bar room looked busy because they kept taking food to that section. We were in the dining room. Waited 40 minutes for our food. Waitress never came by to check to see if needed more tea or soda, maybe 2 times after brought food out that we had waited and waited for. Never even seen her. There were 2 other tables in dining room that had guests. They were there before us. we were not given utensils when first seated. Only straws and napkins with our drinks. We had to ask for utensils when finally brought food out. Now I will say food was very good!!!!. All of it was delicious!!! Restaurant clean. Bathroom clean. We all got right thing. Good portions. I feel like they were focused on bar room instead. Our waitress was basically non existent. Most of us had finished eating and she came by briefly to check on us. And other time to see how to split up check and to bring check by and see if we needed to go box which we didn't or anything else. So basically we saw her like 4 times. None of the time while we waited foreverrrrrrrr for food to come out.

So that is reason for my 3/5 rating. Food was great. Service not so much. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Not impressed. My first time probably last. I was hoping for special new place to celebrate mother's day since i am a mom. We don't go out often so is a special treat. im not looking for perfect but to wait that long is ridiculous and bad waitress.

We came in at 6:56pm Saturday night 3/29/25. We were a party of 6 with 4 children. The dining room wasn't that busy. The bar area was overly crowded. The entire dining room complained with each other about the amount of time we all sat and waited. It took us over an hour to receive appetizers after placing our order. We overheard a waitress telling a table that the bar was backed up so there was a wait. No mention of that to any of the families before we were all seated. They were not making orders as they were received. My kids were hungry, and it is difficult to keep children still for that long. Once we received our food, they got one of the kids orders wrong. I really wanted to have my kids try this restaurant because the food is good, but after this experience I doubt I will ever come in here again. After finishing our food, we have been here for 2 hours.
