You get what you pay for. My phone screen after their repair had noticable latency when playing games. So I would press a button on my screen, and there would be a delay from when I pressed it.

That was acceptable because I rarely play games on this.

Then my phone started to split from the display because I kept dropping it. The screen didn't crack because I kept a case on it alog with a screen protector. And it is my fault for me dropping my phone a lot but it was just weird because the housing that kept the screen and the phone together was starting to get undone BEFORE the display started to crack.

Which leads me to why i am giving a 1 star review. I am repairing the phone myself and to my discovery, the screen they reinstalled looks NOTHING like the disassembly instructions I see on YouTube videos because they essentially make the phone harder to repair than it already is. For example, the phone has a metal plate and a plastic frame that holds the display they placed in my phone. That plastic frame and metal plate was a NIGHTMARE to take off. And I believe it is the frame and metal plate design that made it so that the durability of the display outlived the adhesion between the display and the phone.

What's worse is, they use different screws that serve as plates for the ribbon cables to make this repair even more difficult.

This shop has the best price in the immediate area but there is a reason they charge such a competitive price.

Stay away from these people and find someone who is willing to do the repair closest to what you see from ifixit or jerryrigeverything. And have them show you how they do it, otherwise, look for another shop. But I guess if you only plan to keep your phone for like another year or so, then these...

I wish I had known that an excellent computer/cell repair shop is right in my back yard!! For months, I've been struggling to fix a laptop that I fried by plugging in the wrong power. There were some "priceless" files on the computer that I missed backing up and I was sick that I may have lost them for good. I considered going to the big box electronics stores and was searching for computer repair in the greater NOVA, but then realized Computer and Cellular is just down the street.

While I drive by Computer and Cellular almost daily, I had never gone in. Don't let the older looking building fool you, the team that works inside are professional, skilled, helpful and up to speed on the latest technology.

I was greeted by Malik, the owner, who said they would do their best to recover the data files. He was positive but could not promise success. By that afternoon, Malik notified me that the data had been recovered from the old laptop and saved on a removable disk to connect to my new computer.

Throughout the entire experience Malik was helpful, gave other great advice on how to manage my data and very professional. I was very surprised at the very reasonable cost so I happily included a tip. Computer and Cellular has been in business for over 10 years so they are well established and I'm thankful close to my home.

Now that we know of this great computer repair store, my wife is going to have her computer cleaned and updated.

5-star plus experience! ...

I was experiencing an issue with my MacBook Pro where the machine would not power up and would not accept a charge. Before taking it to Computer & Cellular - I visited the Apple Store Genius Bar. After 45 minutes of unsuccessful troubleshooting - the Apple Tech presented me with the option to either wipe my machine of data in hopes that would solve my issue - or send my machine out to be serviced - requiring me to pre-authorize $700 in potential repair. Not wanting to spend that $ for a 4 yr old machine - I took my MacBook Pro to Computer & Cellular for a 2nd opinion. The process to check in to have my MacBook diagnosed was very easy. The tech listened to the steps that Apple had performed - and said before wiping data - he wanted to look at the machine to see what the true issue was. The next morning - I got a call that my machine was ready to be picked up. Either magic occurred - or he had fixed my machine. Battery now accepts power and my machine is fully booted up and working. Best of all - the total was $0. These guys are above board - very honest and straight forward. A true neighborhood gem. I will definitely be coming back with all of my iphone, tablet and macbook business moving forward. The real genius bar is located at...
