Not the best Target, but still pretty good. Been going here for over a year since moving to the area; not sure what the other people's experiences are like, but I have not really had a problem with the cashiers or other team members. The attitude/politeness of the employees actually seems a bit better than average for this area, though I've found as a person new to the NOVA/DC area that almost everyone up here trends towards the indifferent/rude side of the spectrum.
The store is fairly well-stocked and organized; used to have a problem ever finding my organic skim milk in stock, but that hasn't been a problem in weeks. The parking lot always looks pretty full, but the inside of the store rarely feels jam-packed with shoppers unless it's a holiday or weekend. A good number of the fellow shoppers are oblivious/rude/loud, but again, I've found this, too, to be ubiquitous in this area!
There usually isn't too much of a wait at the checkout lines, but there is usually a wait. Management seems good about opening lanes when the lines clog up, but your fellow Target guests are going to mow you down to get to them. Again, par for the course and I am not sure if there's much the Target team members could do to contain the selfish bad apple shoppers.
Wait times at the pharmacy are reasonable, though the pharmacy staff seem a bit overworked and less engaging or happy than other nearby pharmacies. Unfortunately, Target's pharmacy phone and internet systems are just woefully behind the times compared to other pharmacies like Walgreens, so I find myself having to do a lot in-person -- this makes things like wait times, staff apathy, and short pharmacy hours a lot more apparent, which is why Target is not my main pharmacy despite the pharmacy rewards.
The Target down in Woodbridge near Potomac Mills is the only Target in the area I could point to as a better store -- I'd say they're about a 4.5/5 for better stock, more organized store, and less foot traffic, but their cashiers tend to be a lot less engaged. The Springfield Mall one is a 3 to 3.5/5 for me, between the construction, unorganized but vastly spread out layout, and...
Read moreI tried to do a drive up pick up and , everything immediately went down hill . So first off , there is no estimated pick up time when placing an order . Once you confirm your order , the app tells you to check your email for confirmation. When you get your confirmation, thers is no instruction on how or when exactly to pick up your order. So because of this I called the store to figure out how to let the store know that I had arrived to pick up ( 30 min from order time ) I literally am looking into the store of at least 5 employees behind the customer service desk, and no one absolutely NO ONE picks up the phone ( I called 3 times ). I call another extention, and someone finally picks up and explains that in the app I have to push" I'm on my way" , then once outside, click that i have arrived and then the team is alerted to bring out my order. I told her I didnt know it was a 2 hour window , because the email gave no instruction. I also explained that I had been calling and calling , watching staff members just walk by the phone and all I got back were excuses on their behalf.... At that point I told her I was tired and had my young son with me , so I'd rather not wait and would like to cancel the order. She told me I would need to and could do so in the app. We hang up I get on the app and try to cancel my order, only for it to be rejected .. my order could not and would not be cancelled. So at this point I am annoyed so I called the store back 5 times . The phone rang so much that it disconnected the call on it's own smh . Long story short I have still not been able to contact this store, and that is why I am writing this review . Terrible customer...
Read moreI love Target SO MUCH. The employees at the Hybla Valley store in alexandria, VA leave MUCH to be desired. They seem to be poorly trained and don't have the customer service skills to offset that fact. Some examples for you: I was waiting in line for a return and the poor man infront of me was just trying to return a baby shower gift from his registry because he had gotten too many. He HAD his receipt. They were telling him they couldn't make his return go through so they could only give him a voucher for the amount that had to be used in store THAT day and only on baby items. The item was 150 dollars! I intervened and asked why he couldn't receive a gift card or buy one with the voucher. The poorly trained employee called a manager and low and behold she gave the man a gift card. Why would anyone register with them if that's how they act?! I didn't after seeing this. Another example I have done pickups from them and on one occasion they couldn't scan out my order so after waiting for them to come out for 30 minutes they said I couldn't leave with the items I paid for because they couldn't scan the order off their phone. I had already paid and again had a reciept.
Lines are always wrapped around the store and I do mean wrapped and no one calls for back up. They can't even manage a hello half the time. Maybe my standards are "two high" but their blame the customer take to customer service is...
