I've visited this fridays on 2 separate occasions. The first time the bar was short staffed and we were sitting at the bar for 26 minutes before anyone came to take our drink orders. Long after our drinks were empty another 21 minutes or so and finally i had enough and asked to speak to a manager. Mike the manager at the time came out and apologized for the wait and offered to pay for our meal. Today we arrive and are seated at 740 we aren't greeted by our server until 15 minutes after sitting down, dashawna i think her name was. We place an order for drinks and are both ID'd, lets get our priorities straight you can't get a server to my table on time let alone get food out in under an hour and you're worried about carding someone? we place our food order and 57 minutes with no food or drink at our table, i get up and ask to speak with a manager, well low and behold no manager ever comes to speak to me, so at this point i can't cancel my order or even tell someone i'm leaving because no one cares, our section was half empty. We finally are fed up and just get up and leave. I then get on the phone and try calling them to tell them what happened and i'm put on hold 4 separate occasions until David Thompson the manager gets on the phone. I tell him what happened and how one of his servers told him that i needed to talk to him and was ignored and he says that he would never do that, well i literally was standing about 5 ft away from when i saw this happen and watched him walk away, David is the tall skinny african american guy with glasses. so now after wasting an hour and half with an empty stomach and another 20 minutes waiting on the phone, i can say this is the most poorly run inefficient business i have ever seen in my life. David is rude and patronizing and i am quite frankly disgusted at the lack of customer service. I have never been so angry and frustrated at a person or an establishment in my...
Read moreI brought my friend to dinner here after one of her loved ones passed away. We both work in the hospitality industry and refuse to leave a tip less than 20% even with bad service; however, the service we received tonight was so terrible it was hard to leave a $1 tip. Our server Alexis was the worst waitress I've ever encountered. Firstly, when she came to greet our table, she did so while talking on her cellphone through headphones. Secondly, we ordered a pinot grigio wine along with a moscato. Alexis did not know which wine was which when she delivered it to our table and my friend and I ended up tasting each other's wines. Furthermore, we complained that the wine pours were not equal and Alexis stated she would not replace one without charging us for it. Finally, she delivered our entrees to our table with the dirty dishes from our appetizers not cleared. When my friend asked her to clear them, she stated she would have another young man (presumably a busser) come over and remove the dirty dishes. My friend still handed her the dirty dishes, as we had no room for our entree plates, and Alexis was not subtle with showing her frustration with having to do her job. While I understand, in the restaurant industry, it can be easy to become annoyed, aggravated, or simply be having a bad day; I also recognize that someone's day could always be worse. When in the service industry, especially in a front line position, it is extremely important to be respectful, at the very least. My friend had just lost the love of her life the night before and I dragged her out to dinner only to be met with a server who presented the worst attitude possible. I made no complaints to her manager and paid our bill, as I did not want financial compensation, rather I hope someone in their staff shows her this review so no one else has to...
Read moreI normally take pictures of all the food, but hey, we are just at Fridays. First and foremost, let's discuss how slow service was. We went Sunday evening there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We ordered a few apps and that took forever. Things came out not really tasting well either. One of the apps platters, the chicken, was overcooked and hard. They covered EVERYTHING in sauce and not good sauce, may I add. Getting things like drink refills and / or napkins was such a task. I had very low expectations, but I don't even think they hit the mark where that was concerned. I ordered the pasta for my entrée and when I thought I ordered soup with noodles. There was an exorbitant amount of sauce for the pasta and protein that was in the bowl, and the taste seemed as if all they did was add cayenne pepper. I sent my food back and elected to just not eat anything else. The server kept asking if he could bring me out something else. I declined several times, and then when he last asked, "What about dessert?" I obliged ordering the brownie, hoping that they couldn't mess this up. The brownie was ok, nothing to write home about but not horrible. In keeping consistent with the night, it did take a while for it to come out to the table.
When we were able to finally get the check, we ended up just paying one tab and settling amongst ourselves because at no point did the server try to gain an understanding for how we needed to divide checks. What I will say is my brownie was on the bill, which it shouldn't have been. The server insisted on me ordering something, not the other way around.
Again, I'm not a fan of Fridays, but if I had to patronize this chain again in the future, it wouldn't be this location. I would drive to Alexandria- King St. Stay clear of this place you will be miserable and...
