It was a fine experience. Nothing was wrong and we barely interacted with any employees because we used the kiosk to order. Prices felt a little high, especially for the kids’ Mac and cheese which was super small. Overall no real complaints.
Edited 15 December 2023:
I put in an online order hours before I needed it. I had a very tight schedule that day and spent time thinking through my logistics. When I got to Panera, I looked at my phone and saw the order was running behind. I stood there for a while with a number of other people waiting for their orders. After a bit, I just happened to glance up at the screen and saw that my order was complete (but the app/email never followed up or indicated that). So I walked to the pickup window area and waited. Multiple orders were processed and given to other customers. Finally after about 5 more minutes, I had to work to get someone’s attention. I asked about my order (which had since completely disappeared from the screen). Someone told me it should be on the shelf. I looked back at the shelf which had been empty the whole time to confirm that it was still empty. I told him that and everyone disappeared and no one said anything. After another minute or two the guy who told me it should have been on the shelf came around the back corner with my bag. Where had it been sitting and for how long? Complete chaos. Not the experience I normally have at this Panera (so hopefully this...
Read moreI've had several issues with this location, but my latest experience was most egregious. I ordered food for delivery, but I noticed I was missing a flatbread. Calling into their store didn't help, since the phone continued to ring. Unfortunately, I had to drive to the location to ask about my missing item. And while they were able to make me a new flat bread (after about 15 minutes of waiting), I was never apologized to, nor refunded money (what's the point of delivery if I have to pick it up in person)? As I was leaving, an employee even told me that he'd be happy once his shift is over, which I felt was a strange comment to make to a customer.
A few weeks prior to this incident, my wife placed a pickup order. After being notified of the completed order, she went to pick it up, only to find that the food wasn't ready. She was then told to wait and after asking for an update on her order, she was told an order was never placed. It turns out, they created the order under a completely different name. The food had been ready the entire time and she was notified after 20 minutes.
The main issue seems to be mismanagement, overall worker apathy, and lack of employees. Don't waste your time ordering from this location. The one in Kingstowne is cleaner and friendlier. Definitely worth the extra 5 - 10...
Read moreHave received much friendlier and better service other times and at other Paneras. Went in at 8:15 p.m.(1.5 hrs before closing). Asked for plain bagels and cinnamon rolls. They had very little selection out...the counters were bare. The staff acknowledged having "in back, but can't sell" The manager was equally rude, denying that anyone has ever done that. There is no sign showing this policy and we have been in there before where the staff gladly went to the back to get an all ready baked product... they had about 6 seede bagels remaining on trays ( it appeared to be the dregs of the day) and a few loaves of bread out front and that was it. My question is if you refuse to sell your bakery items and your selection is very low, why stay open? Might add the weather was turning bad, and no telling what it will be in the morning...this woman manager was unyielding. Extremely disappointing experience with this Panera. Their smiles were frowns. There was no pleasing the...
