Very disappointed in the customer service I received from this store. Prior to me bringing my laptop in, it had been in storage in the basement for several months and only recently been used. I brought it in to be looked at because it was no longer turning on. I figured it was because it hadn’t been running for a while. Turns out bugs had gotten into my laptop! I was absolutely shocked at this when I got the call to pick up my laptop. Obviously, I was mortified and completely embarrassed by the whole situation already, but the front desk staff made it so much worse. Both the woman on the phone and the man who assisted me in the store were rude, condescending, and didn’t offer me any sort of help as to what I could do next. I apologized profusely and explained that they must have gotten inside the computer while it was in storage, but they looked at me like I was less than human. I ended up crying in my car due to their rudeness and shock that my MacBook is no longer viable. When I asked what else I could do, he didn’t even say anything, just looked at me. When the CUSTOMER is apologizing to the STAFF and they do not acknowledge that, there is a serious issue. I do NOT fault the technician for not wanting to work on the computer. The bugs are disgusting and I had I known that was the problem I never would have brought it in. It was put away in storage for a few months in the Georgia humidity and heat, I guess I should have known better. Anyway, I’m sure the technician is great, as per the reviews say, but the front desk staff needs a serious lesson in not judging a person by a computer problem

Read moreI carried my laptop to them, because it would not get on to the internet. I suspected the Wi-Fi card had gone bad, after attempting myself to download a new Wi-Fi adapter, and it did not receive it. They're diagnostics revealed that there was so much more wrong with my computer. I told them about my screen also acting up. Of course it's diagnostic was not too good. As for the condition of my computer, my recommendation was to trade it in on a new one . I do not have a problem with the diagnostics, however, there are no computer laptops that I saw in the inventory that would trade within my budget. When I received my computer back, I was given a fair price below the stated diagnostics charge. I'm thankful for that. However my charging Jack was loose when I got it home. I called back to ask if I could bring it back to have the charging Jack tightened, He said I could but when I took it back, I was told it would cost an additional charge. I left discouraged. After sharing my review, the owner contacted me to see if He could resolve the issue at no extra cost. I took it back once more, and found out It was just the wrong charge chord that had gotten mixed up somehow. We were able to work it out at no extra charge. My experience with this small store started with a few phone calls back and forth on an exchange and checking availability for current tech. While I may not have found exactly what I was looking for in one area, the members sufficed in other areas by providing more than exceptional alternatives and knowledge, and helping me prepare for future purchases. Thank you so much to Caleb for taking the time to physically show me what I can expect out of what I'm wanting. Thank you Ryan and Michael for providing awesome customer service and really making me feel welcome in the store. Shout out to Jason for providing his extensive knowledge and working with your techs to give me a quick estimate on services. While it may not be something I'm interested in (due solely to personal finances) I really felt that I was being taken care of. I will push to recommend any and all consumers I come in contact with to shop with Computer Exchange, to continue the growth of a smaller business in lieu of bigger chains, and will be sure to return if I am ever in need of any services myself.
