First time here, got the Steak N Eggs w/ home fries and wheat toast. Coffee and water was also asked for. The service was pretty quick compared to the amount of people there at the time. Looked like the waitresses have done the job for a really long time. I sat at the bar stools that had an open view into the kitchen. I noticed that a lot of restaurants and other business in Augusta re-use old buildings and this was no exception. Clearly this spot used to be a clothing store or technical business. The tables are just lined out like it's a cafeteria from a high school with a little slice of different chairs here and there. Of course having booths put in would of made this place even smaller. The owners just built the kitchen right onto the side of the location. Nothing wrong with this concept, I prefer to see my meal be made right in front of me. The dish was well worth its cost, I was bummed out that they did not have a country fried steak dish. Usually my dish to go for to determine a place's worth. I will definitely be back, but I have to keep on trying other spots while I'm here in Augusta! Please feel free to ask me any questions about this place.

First I must say the prices here are very good, compared to other breakfast places. Or server was great! You could tell she loves her job and takes pride in customer satisfaction. However, if you are a person that cooks with seasoning and loves it when your food has a great taste, then this is not the place for you. Their style of cooking is more for aged folks with high blood pressure and diabetes. We changed our order because it didn't have any taste, then we just felt like we should have gone elsewhere because what we changed it to, wasn't much better. My daughter loved the continental omelet though. I tasted it but had to add ketchup and black pepper and Texas hot sauce to satisfy my taste buds a bit. Go for the price, but if you are a food lover and eat for the taste, go elsewhere. Oh, the toasts were good!

I liked this place a lot. It was nice and bright and big enough to have plenty of space to keep some distance between people. The wait staff was very friendly and welcoming. I kept my breakfast choice simple; 2 fried eggs, grits, sausage and toast plus coffee. My food was served up quickly and everything was cooked properly, even the grits were a good consistency. There were 3 sausage patties instead of 2 like most places and they had a nice little spiciness to them. The coffee was nothing special but it was hot and freshly made. Overall a great start to a Saturday.

First off, I have always done business here and I’ve invited countless business colleagues to come here to have a breakfast and meet session. Sadly, this will no longer be taking place. I called in for a to go order today (like I do a lot!) and I was told “ok see you when you get here” even though I did wonder what the total was? Either way, for all to see and hear, they DO NOT TELL THEIR HARDWORKING CUSTOMERS that they up charge from every angle they can. They charge you the merchant fee (credit card fee) and also add an automatic gratuity on a to go order. 1) that’s just being scummy. 2) when I called to ask why they started doing an automatic gratuity on TO GO ORDERS they told me “sir, we don’t tell people over the phone about that, BUT (with a very you know what attitude) didn’t you read the window sign BEFORE YOU WALKED IN?!?” Um lady, I can’t see the window over the phone? And I also just spent 10 dollars in gas to come pick this __ up, I didn’t check the window since you have to tell people what you are charging them anyways right?!?!?! That’s when she told me “yeah we don’t tell people that over the phone” WHAT? As a future business owner I am actually appalled that they would speak to a customer like that when THEY DON’T TELL THEM ABOUT A HIDDEN CHARGE. They were Very disrespectful over the phone (the manager) and they immediately went to “sir we will just take off the gratuity” WHATS THE POINT OF CHARGING ONE THEN?!?! Oh I see, wait until someone says something to take it off but if they don’t...FREE MONEY. Don’t do business with schemers. It’s shameful and they should be reviewed by the Better Business Bureau. A decade long customer just gets thrown in the trash over a 3 dollar tip. Great...

THIS POST COULD SAVE YOU A FEW $$$! We have eat at Sunrise Grill multiple times and always enjoyed it. I ate breakfast there about 3 weeks ago and it will be my last time. I ordered the meat omelette (what I always order) and I asked the waitress if I could get jalapeño peppers instead of bell pepper; this was the ONLY change that I made to the omelette. The waitress told me sure.

I received my meal and it was very good. I received my bill and was SHOCKED! The price for my omelette was over $12; it should have been close to $7! I tried to get the waitress’s attention but she never came back. I went to the register to pay my bill and questioned the cashier about the charge. She proceeded to tell me that I was charged for “create your own omelette”. Because I asked for jalapeños instead of bell peppers, I was charged almost double! I explained to the cashier that I had been in multiple times and ordered the same thing and was never charged this way. She apologized and said they just had a meeting going over this policy. I told her that I was not informed about the up charge. She said that they were told in the meeting not to mention the up charge to customers unless the customer asked! The cashier refused to change my bill, so I asked to speak to a manger. She said the manager was not in, but she took my name and number and promised that I would receive a call. I NEVER received the call. Fast forward 3 weeks; this past Saturday my wife and I were trying to decide where to go for breakfast. My wife suggested Sunrise...

Service was mediocre, at best.

The food was even worse. I ordered the corned beef and over easy eggs. The corned beef was inedible. It looked like they had pureed the corned beef and poured it onto the griddle, cooking it like one would cook a pancake. The eggs were over hard. The undersides, brown. Their "famous" home fries (breakfast potatoes) are basically boiled and seasoned potatoes.

My daughter's fruit bowl was unpleasant, to put it lightly. When asked, our server described the bowl as having strawberries and blueberries, along with some melon and pineapple. She stated that some of the fruits were "flash" frozen to make them "juicy". I'm pretty sure that's just an excuse for serving frozen fruit instead of fresh.

On the plus side, my 16-year-old son enjoyed his breakfast burritos, my 21-year-old daughter liked her poached eggs and English muffin. And, the coffee wasn't bad.

There is no atmosphere worth mentioning. It's a breakfast restaurant in a shopping plaza.

Overall, this was a very disappointing visit. There were 6 in our party. It's a good thing we only had 6. Originally my adult daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren were going to join us, as well. When we called earlier we were told that they would not move tables to accommodate our family size and we would have to sit at two different tables, with no guarantee that we would even be near each other.

We spent right at about $100 total. Tipped right at 15%, because that's who we are.

We...
