I attended my friend’s pre-wedding Sangeet at this venue, and I genuinely cannot express how upsetting and disappointing this experience was. On the surface, the venue is gorgeous. It’s clean, elegant, and looks like the perfect setting for a dream wedding. But please, do not be fooled by the appearance. Behind the beauty is complete chaos, manipulation, and a total lack of professionalism.
From what my friend went through as the bride, this place operates like a scheme. They make endless promises, sell you a fantasy, and assure you that they will bring your vision to life. But when it comes time to deliver, they completely backtrack. They refused to honor their agreement and even threatened to cancel her booking if she didn’t comply with their last-minute demands. Imagine that, threatening a bride right before her event after she put her trust, money, and faith into them. As a good friend of hers, it breaks my heart to see her stressed and overly emotional about unfulfilled promises.
They claimed they would customize her decorations and let her choose what she wanted for her Sangeet, but when the day came, they flat-out refused. She even offered to bring her own decor to make things easier, and they still said no. What she got instead was a basic, lackluster setup that bore no resemblance to the promise. Three small candles on the table. No flowers. No personality. Nothing close to the magical atmosphere she paid for.
On top of that, there were hidden fees that came out of nowhere. It felt like they were squeezing every last dollar out of her without transparency or care.
As a guest, I also saw how poorly everything was managed. The smoke machine was used excessively to the point that many of us were coughing and could barely breathe. The bride even asked the staff multiple times to stop it, and they ignored her completely. Then, a strong chemical smell filled the air, which was honestly concerning for everyone’s health.
The lighting and sound were a complete disaster. During one of the performances, the lights began flickering so fast and erratically that it could have easily triggered a seizure for someone in the room. It went on for nearly twenty minutes, and no one stepped in to fix it. That’s not just unprofessional. It’s dangerous.
What truly crossed the line, though, was the staff's behavior. Some of them were openly talking badly about the bride and the guests, including specific names that people overheard. It was beyond disrespectful. To speak negatively about a client during their event, within earshot of guests, is shocking and unacceptable.
Crystal View Weddings and Events may look stunning from the outside, but the reality of it is truly ugly. This is not a place that cares about its clients. It is not a place that values respect, honesty, or professionalism. It’s all about the money, and once they have it, you are no longer a priority.
If I could give this venue zero stars, I absolutely would. Please save yourself the stress, the frustration, and the heartache. Do not book here. What happened to my friend and what we all experienced as guests should never happen to anyone planning such an important celebration. What an utter...

Read moreI cannot say enough about my experience with the CrystalView Fairoaks (CV) Team. When I initially contacted CrystalView, I was unable to reach them but within hours, I received a call back from Christina Hendricks and it’s safe to say that we were a match made in heaven. She is the most polite, warm and understanding person. I began my wedding process in January 2024, hoping for a wedding date in July 2024 (so this was very short notice). On my first call with CV, I was informed that my chosen date was not available. However, to my sweet surprise, a few hours later, Christina called me back again saying that my date was available because the person who initially had booked that date called the same day that I did and cancelled. I immediately locked in the date with Christina, relying solely on their website pictures but immediately I spoke with Christina, I knew this was my Wedding Reception Venue. I travelled for work at the time so it was difficult meeting in person but when I eventually scheduled my first appointment to view the space and meet Christina in person (after talking on the phone several times), I was in awe of how beautiful and serene this location is. We were welcomed warmly, and my fiancé and I immediately fell in love with the venue. We confirmed what we already knew, which was that this was our wedding venue.
Shortly afterwards, we started working together in quick succession to make my 6 month wedding planning a success. Christina made me feel comfortable, at ease with the process and ensured that I had all I needed. She became my point person for CV and all the services they were providing which I must say were super helpful for my short wedding planning period. I engaged CV for venue, lighting, décor, F&B, bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets, among other things. As Nigerians, we typically are very particular about the food options for events, and it was a pleasant surprise when we realized that CV already had an African Caterer on contract. This saved us from the headache of delays typically associated with food arriving on time when externally catered. Christina organized the food tasting at CV and we were able to fully vet the meals to be served during our wedding. We had the option of a Consumption Bar limit which also removed the stress of bringing in the drinks as well. To our surprise, we were able to choose Nigerian hors d’oeuvres for our cocktail hour with the same caterer and it all went smoothly. As we drew nearer, we were able to do a final walkthrough of what to expect on that day and we were fully satisfied with the plan and intended execution.
