Florida Gateway Fairgrounds — Attraction in Lake City

My kids loved the rides at the fair and had fun. I felt like the people selling the booth games are crazy... I love games and went to one booth where me and my daughter played darts together but 5 darts get you a big prize and I had 4 and missed one and my daughter had 3 and missed 2. We could either get 2 small or one medium which as a good mom I let my daughter get the medium. Now we were talked into playing another game with a basketball where my daughter was told she could get a bigger prize if we paid and she played and got 3 shots plus had to trade in her toy, which after I was told I could play a few on the lady who worked the basketball booth then she said the next round was on me and I was encouraged to keep playing even though I wasn't sure what I was paying or really wanted to. once done she said I owed $40 and all I had was $20 plus I had paid $20 for my daughter and to make matters worse my daughter wasn't allowed the exact prize she wanted an she still got a medium and lost her first prize but her baby brother was allowed a tiny stuffy. Please beware they take advantage. I thought the lady a little nice but also felt taken advantage of since we played 2 booths and walked away with only 2 toys and had used up all the $60...

it was a fun trip for my granddaughters. not too crowded, not that they would not pack that place full if they could, lots of good adult rides for such a small fair. it's more like a carnival really. you can walk the whole thing In 10 minutes. toddler rides were kinda skimpy. basically alot of repeats for the little toddler rides..just different themes. the games are ridiculously expensive for small 50 cent dollar store garbage toy prices. cost 5 dollars each. food was good..good variety, but costly. it was laid out well and organized. easy to move through without feeling like your missing something. the 20 dollar armband was the best value for a child that is gonna ride alot...but..that does not include the admission fee. it was a good time for a small event could have been a little cheaper but fairs (carnivals) usually are money pits...
