This is an edited review. June, 2022: first I want to say sorry to Mandy because I’m not sure how I missed the email of her reply and did not see the reply till I went to edit this review. It would have been nice to talk to her to at least try to understand what’s going on with this establishment. I want to like this place. I really do… decided to give them another shot this morning. Went in for breakfast this time, mostly because I wanted a coffee. Ordered my coffee. Asked for almond milk. Was informed that they may not have almond milk right now. Told her that was fine, oat milk or coconut milk would be fine. I didn’t mind either. Then I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked just as I asked. It was perfect. The chicken tasted good and was also cooked good. Not quite sure how I was informed that they may not have almond milk, but not informed that they didn’t have the sauce for the chicken & waffles. Imagine my disappointment when my food got to me and I just had regular syrup. 🤷‍♀️ The sweet and spicy kind of makes that plate. Wish I was told of that when I was ordering because I definitely would have ordered something else. On the upside, my coffee was great. Their food here isn’t bad. I’m not sure if I’m just having bad luck with this place or what but being someone who spent many years in the food industry, I expect more. Like not having half of an order come out way before the rest of an order, or knowing that a main ingredient to a dish that your looking to order isn’t available before you order it and waste $ on a meal that you’re not going to eat all of because it’s not available. Not sure if I’ll be going back here and that’s kind of sad because I really do want to like this place. But the service could be much better.

2021:My review is solely on the food and service as we didn’t get any coffee at this time. I was told that I really needed to try this place because the food was so good. Got there and was greeted right away. They were very attentive at the counter and took our order. First, they only brought out one of our burgers. We waited several minutes for the other one so the timing of the food was pretty off. On one of the burgers they forgot the fried jalapeños and the onion rings were burnt to a crisp. Guess somehow the order of fried pickles got lost somewhere in the process. 2 of the young ladies who waited on us at the table, just seemed very lost or confused. I’m not sure if they were new or what. We had to go up to the counter and ask for our desert that we had paid for when we had originally ordered. Overall, I have them 3 stars because the food was pretty good even though my burger got cold waiting on fresh, not burnt onion rings and for my boyfriends food to come. But the service from our table (while the service at the counter was great),...

I have been going to Rays for awhile now and never have I been such a huge fan of any restaurant. I am probably not their biggest fan, but I would like to think so. Are they on the expensive side, YES, but the quality of food is definitely worth it and everything I've had on the list was delicious. On top of that their customer service is spot on. You may be wondering what I mean by that, so Ill explain. I've worked several years in customer service and many times when you go to a restaurant you tend to get the two ends of a balanced structure. Either the customer service is not very good, or the customer service is too Disney friendly as I like to call it. Whats wrong with the Disney side you ask? To me the Disney side of customer service usually involves the staff or supervisors getting too friendly or treating you like a buddy, which in turn sometimes makes you feel like they do this to cover for the amount of time it takes them to make your food, or since you are seemingly good friends its ok for the restaurant to screw up without apologizing. It usually involves the staff asking personal questions that are none of their business because I just want my sandwich as quickly and accurately as possible. I'm not your friend, I'm investing in your company so I'm your boss right now. This is exactly how professional Ray's is. They quickly get your order, they treat you as a client should be treated, and they are prompt and cordial. Yes, when they have friends they know come in, they treat them like friends. I met Mr. Ray the other day and he seemed like a very real, down to earth, and fair man of honesty. He didn't give me the, "Case of the Monday's Act," like on, Office Space. One final note: BURGERS, BURGERS, BURGERS !!! The downside to Ray's is that its located in a still kind of small town where people are happy with the down home country cooking. Most customers only want an original burger and Ray's offers that but they also offer burgers which I see as genius masterpieces, I DARE YOU TO TRY ONE! I have lived in quite a few places in the nation and they are the best burgers I have ever...

This review is based solely on customer service, as we did not get to eat. We passed through town and picked somewhere different than normal fast food. We ordered the nutty grilled chicken wrap. We also got a couple amazing looking desserts. We waited over 30 minutes....I watch the staff try to deal with 2 other customer concerns. One customer was brought a meal, and then another meal that he already had. So the counter person wrapped it up for him at no charge. Finally I asked where our wrap was. "THE COOK MESSED IT UP" They offered a free breakfast. I declined because we are never coming through the area again. The manager with butterfly tattoos all over her arms offered to refund for the wrap only. Ok....I'm still hungry. I asked for the desserts for compensation for my time and the fact I had to go somewhere else and order lunch and wait on it. (We are noW set back an hour from our trip) She actually said no and had me go to the car and get the desserts to get the refund. I was humiliated. They would have to throw those desserts away at this point. I've been in the food service industry for over 16 years. This was customer service at its worst. I counted 4 orders that they messed up in the 40+ minutes I sat there and waited. There were over 8 employees that I saw. Most were talking almost each other. Amber was the name on the reciept. There was one employee that was busting her butt had to deal with most customer concerns. The manager was in the back that gave us our "refund".... this place has serious management issues. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN AN...

Extremely over-priced and the food was sub-par. It was a huge disappointment from a company that obviously takes pride in their brand, as evident by the aggressive marketing campaign upon entering. I was immediately taken aback by the menu. Everything ranged from $9.95 to $10.95, from salads to chicken fingers to bacon burgers. It was only the driving rain outside and the fact that I wasn't paying that I ordered something. I ordered a sweet tea, and as she handed over the cups she prophesied, "For your fountain drinks." I am now realizing I should have known before I even walked up to that metal tea urn that it would be empty. I found my boyfriend in a booth and slid in opposite of him. The place was cute, ok. I will give them that. The blacksmith theme was giving us life, mama. And, they had a small TV above the table and a retro video game emulator with Atari style joysticks that we played while waiting for our food. The service from start to finish was pleasant, even tho multi-tasking seems to be a dying art. All said, the reason for my low rating is the god awful food. His burger came with Kraft American Singles processed cheese. Mind you, they charged $9.95 before tax. Even more disappointing was my prebreaded chicken tenders that resembled tree bark, both in appearance and texture. Maybe trees taste like chicken, not sure if there was a mix up in the supply chain. $10.95 before tax for that delicacy. Stick to their beverage menu and you'll likely leave a happy customer. Unless you want sweet tea after 5pm. Then forget it.

Any place that can do fried pickles right and then has an Oreo brownie the size of my fist on top of it is just begging my pants not to fit. The entire place is nice and clean and decently space apart to give a more private vibe. But oh does the food hit the spot, salads on point, sandwiches are amazing, and the fried yumminess they serve up is pure golden crunchy. The staff is friendly every time we go in and the food always hits good especially after a long day of yard sales and flea market searching. Edit: about a year since my last visit, and this place still is amazing. We ordered take out and got Buffalo chicken Mac n cheese, 2 southwest club sandwiches, a French dip and this cinnamon roll dessert with a peanut butter icing. We were not disappointed and had several meals from it! The Buffalo Mac and French dip (if you get a sandwich I suggest getting it pressed) were soooooo delicious! The fries were gone before we got halfway home too! But the customer service was by far the best, any place that has customer service like this place would have me coming back even if the food wasn't good. Shawn was incredibly helpful and very nice and took time out to explain everything to us that we asked. And Reghet (sorry on the spelling) was very nice and welcoming even though she was new, and made sure we were satisfied with everything before leaving. Definitely a place on my top list now, especially since I now know they serve breakfast all day and everything I've tasted so far has hit the spot for me! Check this place out!

The first visit was wonderful but a bit expensive. They have more than coffee and a little food. The front looks like a bakery and drink stations are available for sit down customers. The bathrooms are very clean as is the sitting area. Placing orders is a bit slow and after paying I was told they were out of the very things I came here to enjoy. They advertise $2.50 sides and then charge full price for items listed under "sides." Some of us don't like tots and want something besides tots. They lost a bit of business with this visit. The Deluxe breakfast sandwich is good but not worth $9. The breakfast bowl is possibly the best in town but it could use some grits in the mix. The cinnamon roll is warm and soft as it should be, yummy 😋. The biscuits and gravy are annoyingly warm (spicy hot) which almost made it unedible. They should try making it Scottish style (very mild or no heat) and allow people to add hot toppings to their desire. The drinks are Coke products but no diet Coke, ugh. The seats have light cushioning but they are hard around the edges with no cushioning to speak of inside the middle which makes it feel like hard boards going across the top of your butt, not comfy at all. The food is premium prices with small serving sizes. I can't see coming back given the cheaper and competitors out near the airport. BTW, they also have coffee here. No idea if it's good being that I won't drink tarmac water.
