I started working for Krystal’s at the beginning of June and as of today I quit my job because the disrespect from my coworkers what unbelievably rude and unhealthy being as I am pregnant my hormones and emotions are also everywhere. Not only have I had to give a customer their frosted fruit slushi while holding every tear back that I could. I have had to run to the bathroom to cry multiples times. Working here was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with fast food. I actually did get along with 2 of my coworkers but there kind of order what so ever. I recommend a schedule and ONE person as ONE area. Including someone to run food. I can’t count how many times I’ve looked back and seen not a single person at the grill while I have orders waiting. Today a man waited TWENTY minutes on his food and I ran to check multiple times if it was ready yet. I’ve had to take out huge bags of trash while being pregnant , had to lift them into a little square opening on a dumpster. I’ve busted my butt running back and forth from tables to the front counter taking orders as fast and friendly as I can, I’ve had so many compliments from customers, I know for a fact I was doing the very best I could to make my customers happy. Not even an hour into my shift today I had two coworkers get snippy with me because my orders still hadn’t been cooked and I was running around taking orders and cleaning my lobby area. I always kept the coffee stocked and my lids and cups stocked I kept my ketchups stocked all the way from the whipped cream in the fridge to the cups in drive thru which is not even part of my job, I make sure every black tray plate is cleaned and not oily and disgusting because I would not want to eat like that either. I’ve seen a couple roaches while working here, one beside a plastic piece on the wall by the coffee cups on the front counter and one where our customers make their own drinks. I have had to wipe down and clean the trash cans because there was dried ketchup all over it. Working here just was no a pleasant experience YES it is easy. But working with nasty attitudes it’s not. My manager Connie was very good with trying to calm me down today she has my upmost respect for trying to get me to stay. But nothing would have been done about the environment I worked in and I would have found myself a week from now crying in the bathroom again. I wouldn’t recommend working here while pregnant but I have to say there are a few good people. I would also like to add when I went to South Carolina for my grandmothers death I came back to one manager telling me I was fired and one manager telling me they thought I had been fired until my mother decided to call and asked for cooperates number and she was told “I was...
Read moreWe have been traveling through florida this week, We have never had Krystal burgers before since we do not have any in our home state. We tried it today, not impressed… The cashier was nice but she looked like we were irritating her by eye rolls in between our orders because I guess we were taking too long. The manager was sitting in a corner on one of the tables watching tik toc videos I believe for about 15 min and then went out and sat in her car for an additional 20min after telling work orders to the other Three employees standing in the kitchen. The cook had on a pair of clear gloves he was using to cook, then he walked outside with the gloves on, about 5 mins he came back in with the same gloves on scratching his arm as he walked back into kitchen and finished cooking order for drive through with the SAME gloves on….now the food: the fries were super greasy but crunchy! The burgers looked like boiled “dead” meat and the buns were so soggy I couldn’t even eat it, the chicken was amazing but the grease ran to the bottom of the burger and made the end of the burger in the box “grease soggy”. The establishment is located on I-90 (next to Taco Bell) near commerce dr in lake city, FL. I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble, but I have been a cafe manger for at least 20 years and I would never allow employees to behave this way. Your paying them to properly cook and sell your food products with the upmost respect to your business and they are not in my opinion.. so someone might want to send in a “secret customer” and see exactly what I have seen and probably many others too since it’s 4pm-5pm in the afternoon and not one customer in the parking lot besides us…good...
Read moreI have never had an experience like I had there last week... I was treated disrespectfully by an employee who's name I believe was Donny (thin, dark-skinned middle age man) who was obviously upset when I politely asked how long my order would take before ordering. I just wanted to make sure I would have time to get to work because I had been late previously because they took so long. I DIDN'T even mention that, I just simply ASKED, without being rude. He then responded sarcastically that it would take a long time. I thought he had a sense of humor and laughed along with him. THEN I pull up to the window. AND since I had asked about the time he announces to his coworkers the situation... and even one of them calls him petty... as he decided to let my order of only two krystal burgers sit on the counter for a couple minutes (yes, I could see my TWO Krystals the entire time) . He played around while making me wait.
I contacted corporate who have yet to respond and this was last week, I have never been given such service and as someone who has worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I am appalled that this would...
