China Wok — Restaurant in Lake City

Update. Food is delicious. Prices went up a few dollars on everything but it's still worth it. Small white rice is 4 dollars. Used to be 1 dollar. The large size went up a few dollars. I've been back a few times already. Food is good. Probably spent 20 for one large and a side of rice. If I'm really hungry I'll place a bigger order. Ask for fortune cookies or they won't give them to you in the bag. The guys there are nice. Not sure about the dragon lady from before.

Been going here for years and might not go back ever.. Older lady just stared at us when we came in like she was trying to psycho analyze us. Didn't say hello nothing. Looked bothered. The curry dinner order had a hair in it under the food!!!! Was found a hair. My vegetable lol mein had zero vegetables except for a large chunk of unsliced onion. I mean it was even a round big piece. We even tipped twice feeling sorry for her because she kept making faces at us. I'll never tip this woman again or go eat here. She got angry when I had to ask for fortune cookies and chopsticks too.

The guy there is nice but I gotta change my rating. That lady shouldn't work there. I'm only giving this place a 2 star because when this other guy is there the food is perfect. He's also more welcoming and friendly. The food also was better. I don't even want to know what animal that hair came from either. There's cats in the back alley. I'm not gonna go there.

Update. 2023. Food is not as good as it used to be the woman and the Mexican cook make the food sloppy compared to when it's the other guy and Asian cooks. It's greasy now but we still like to eat here a lot. It's still delicious compared to other places in lake city. The white rice tastes old and bland though. It used to be sticky rice a long time ago. The lady in there isn't very friendly. The other guy is nicer.

We just moved to this area and were hoping to find a great Chinese restaurant and we did here at China Wok. The food was great, vegetables were still colorful. Our first and second order were large(about 10 people) so we were concerned about the quality and taste. Always great! This is our 3rd or 4th visit and is a favorite for take-out! I was able to watch a little of the staff cooking in the back and it all looked clean and professionally and carefully prepared. The young man who usually helps us is very nice along with a young woman I've seen once it twice. They accommodate whatever you need in utensils and extras. Great...

Food was very overpriced for the portion. I've recently eaten at all the Chinese restaurants in lake city and this one was the biggest rip off. The container is the size of a tv dinner and cost $14 for some of the worst Bourbon chicken I've had. Hubby ordered the beef fried rice and it was flavorless without much beef. We wound up not even eating the leftovers. It was over $40 for two adults and a dog to eat. Just not even close to worth what I paid for it.
