UPDATE 3:! I guess since we keep updating you can get a pretty idea that we love this place. Every trip (30 miles for us) is worth it. Today was "Taco Tuesday" with discounted Mexican style tacos. We had the fresh made guacamole today (again) and it was wonderful as usual, prepared table side. Don't forget to tip the worker who wrestles the cart around to prove how fresh it is. If you've never had the dish moments after it's created you are missing out. Our food was wonderful as usual, but this review I want to mention the service (again). Alma was our primary server, and she is always an excellent choice. Her accent can be difficult to understand at times, but she always works hard to communicate clearly, and help with even our 'special requests'. Always top flight service, and it is like you have an entire team of people making sure your meal is special. Yes, and can be a bit much having every single staffer that goes by asking if you need anything, but these wonderful people make you feel like YOUR TABLE is the most important in the place. If you ask someone other than your primary server for something, they always do so with a smile that says "Every request is every worker's job", quickly bring what you ask. It is truly extraordinary, and not something I have EVER seen to this level. I hope they can export this kind of work ethic to other brands. Meanwhile, La Fiesta is by far our favorite night out. Thanks for all the hard work. UPDATE 2: We drove 30 miles 3 times this week to dine here, and thought that was worthy of an update. This is now our "go-to" when we can't decide. This week I took a party of 6 in, and we were made to feel like we were the most important customers in the place. I tried the "Margarita Fresca" while I waited for my group, and it was clearly an important thing to the bartender to get it right. It was delightful, and not unreasonable considering all the fresh ingredients. They have 2 for 1 house 'ritas on Wednesdays, and a very nice deal. Today was "Taco Tuesday" which has to be the best deal on Mexican food in the region. $2 super hearty tacos, both true Mexican style, and more "Taco B***" style for the less adventurous. I had crunchy tacos which were clearly made in house, and delicious. Earlier in the week I had the table side guacamole for the first time (here), and it was the best I've had. The menu has the kind of variety that allows you to come several times a week. La Fiesta continues to be a great addition to the community, and has the most amazing furniture you'll ever see. UPDATE: We've been back several times since the first visit below. Last night we drove 30 miles to visit again. It was, for the first time, not very busy. We both tried new-to-us dishes, and both were generous, and delicious. The service was excellent as usual, if a little too much. I had the pineapple margarita that was on "special" at $10, and was not impressed. We are headed toward dropping alcohol from our meals out due to the inflationary pricing. We'll return soon, but I vote for a return to 2 for 1 margarita specials (new photos below). END UPDATE: Our first trip to this family restaurant. We loved the hand carved and painted furnishings. Our food was very good. I would have liked a little more seasoning in our food choices (Grande Special and Rice Bowl). Both were very generous portions. I had a house margarita (jumbo). The drink was tasty, but I thought pricey for a basic drink. I guess the days of two for one are over. The staff was all super friendly, and most related to the owner. Our server was married to another server, and they both constantly checked on us. In a first, our server came back and thanked us for the tip, which was well deserved. We'll be back soon.

****** UPDATE******** 2/4/24 Ok so now I've been to La Fiesta at least 20 times now. The food is still amazing. The atmosphere is still fabulous. The drinks are delicious. The fresh guacamole is a great touch. The staff and management are attentive and friendly. And I can't say enough great things about this place. It has become my number one place to go for Mexican food, but has also become my number one place to go, period. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service, amazing decorations, just overall amazing. I can't say it enough. I recently had lunch with my two Moms at La Fiesta. This is the first time in a long time where I've been completely "wowed" by all aspects of my experience. From getting out of the car and walking up and seeing the fresh paint on the building, to walking in the front door and seeing all the artwork on the tables and chairs, to being greeted by several different staff members, to our chips and salsa and appetizers, to the amazing meals (the menu item with the steak, chicken, sausage, scallops and shrimp is FANTASTIC!!! A huge meal and value.) just all of the entire experience, the orchid garnish on the margaritas, the fresh guacamole and the sweet young lady who made it the great service and knowledgeable server, the delicious flan afterwards!!! 5 stars, all the way, I've already been back since the first time and I plan to go again on my birthday in May. Fantastic meals, value, atmosphere, experience, all of it!!! ****** Update ******* I just visited La Fiesta again, today, May 9th, for my birthday. I had lunch with friends and family and the food, service, drinks, atmosphere were excellent! This was my 4th visit and every single time I dined here I was continually wowed and amazed at the entire experience. I know other establishments have been in this location, but just know, from a lifelong manager in the hospitality business, that this place is the real deal. Great value and portion sizes combined with fantastic, authentic, flavors and a beautiful restaurant inside and out. The artwork on the tables, booths, chair backs, bar stools, and walls are all visually stunning. This is easily Lake City's best Mexican restaurant and one of the best restaurants in town no matter the cuisine.

Wow! We wanted a place w outdoor seating for our puppy. What a wonderful gem we found! My wife went inside to let them know we were there while I gave puppy a short walk. As I walk up, corrina, the asst mgr, is at the dining area waiting for me and puppy to pick a seat, arms full of chips, salsa and napkins! Blanca, our waitress, quickly went to fetch a small foil pans of water for puppy. She then took our drink order, brought us queso blanco, and revisited us at regular intervals to check on us. Superb service! Attentive, friendly, observant - not overly - but kept my ice tea glass full! The food was WONDERFUL! Candy had seafood pablanos, two big peppers stuffed with big shrimp, at least ten or twelve. I had a delicious chili rellenos and carnitas. I asked for more veggies and no rice : no worries - lots of grilled onion, bell pepper, mushrooms and zucchini. The roast pork had been pan fried some to crisp it a little, and so full of flavor. And puppy got a three meat burrito, w a little cheese and beans!. A wonderful pit stop. Big portions. Good prices, continuous refills on my tea and a glass to go! Friendly, personable service that left us feeling like their special guests. And watch out Ocala! Next to the mall, next month comes their sister store. Look for Rivera Maya Mexican restaurant!

This place is the best !! Okay, let me begin with the atmosphere and decor. I walked in and saw their seating arrangements and furniture. The beautiful, friendly hostesses and waitresses and their uniform took me by surprise, with the flowers in their head I already knew that this restaurant was not playing around with service..The only thing I needed to do for this place to rock me was their continuous great service and finally the food. I was blown away by both their service and food was absolutely bangin' !! The best authentic Mexican food and service by I have ever had. I was floored by the level of quality and food. To add to this great experience, I asked them to double the meat on my burrito, and one of our waitresses said our burritos are already big, are you sure you want it doubled, to which I said no that's okay, if it's already big, no need to double it. I already had 2 appetizers plus some chips and delicious salsas and freshly made guacamole, (made in front of us). I was already impressed by their presentation and attentiveness to us. When I say ive never had a burrito that big in my life is an understatement, I had a burrito that was 3 burritos long. That's customer service. I wish I knew all of your names, but please know that all you that were there serving us were incredible and kind and one of the best dining experiences we ever had. Thank you for the mile-long burrito, delicious food, drinks and birthday surprise. You will certainly...
