I am 1000% sure these thousands of reviews are not real. This place was weird and uncomfortable. You have to walk around naked. My husband and I paid for a massage that we both thought were the absolute worst. Worst Anniversary massage ever!!! If you donât have back pain before going, you are guaranteed to have it when you leave. Both ladies really beat on your back as if it were a drum applying extreme pressure. My husband had to keep telling his masseuse to go lighter on pressure while saying âouch, ouchâ almost every 10 minutes. We both left in back pain which did not cease until days after. I left an $80 tip for both my husband and I which meant $40 and $40 for both ladies. As I am leaving the tip she stands there to watch you to see how much you are leaving. Since we both checked out at the same time but they had to ring us up separately I left the tip on my bill and told them that would be the tip for both of ours. Once it was time for his bill this lady asks me no tip? No tip? I said I left the tip on my bill. To be honest they didnât deserve a penny as tip. But I still left a tip not based on satisfaction but simply because we did get serviced and I always feel the need to tip. I wish I would have taken pictures of the bruises on my back the next day.
Anyway, as we were sitting in the common area. We witnessed a big argument like they were going to fight between the staff. I could not believe my eyes. One of the workers were walking with folded towels (i mean they were stacked so high she really couldnât see in front of her) and the other one bumped into her and made her drop them to the floor. All I hear is yelling from across the room in (Asian language) You pushed me, no you pushed me. It sounded like two toddlers fussing. I could not believe my eyes, this is a spa which is supposed to be relaxing for customers. They shove each other then one storms to the front to tell Iâm guessing the manager then the other one storms right behind her. The manager walks over and asks me what happened, Iâm like maâam I am a customer, I am trying to enjoy my time here after Iâve wasted money on this horrible massage. It was like I was watching a movie, I couldnât believe this was happening at a SPA.
As I was getting a massage the lady takes off my gold chain and says it will be right here. This was a 14k gold rope chain with a diamond cross pendant on it. I had this chain for years. It was my everyday chain. I forgot to get it back from her when I left. I noticed when we were on our way to pick our kids up from school, I called them not even two hours later and they were so rude and nasty over the phone. If we find it we will give you a call. Huh? How can you not find it? Your masseuse took it off of my neck. I was so hurt because I could tell by the tone on the phone it was gone. I went there the very next day to see if the masseuse had turned it in. They let me look through their âlost and foundâ full of fake jewelry and mostly one earring without the match. Why do I have to look through lost and found when I know who took my necklace off?? Again âit was if we find anything weâll call you.â I called several days and even weeks after but it still has not come up.
I am positive this place hires Asian thugs and crooks. This place is ghetto. Never again!!!!!!! I wouldnât let my pet frog get a massage from here. To call this place paradise is very comical. This place is so bad we paid for 4 day passes not knowing how it would be. I wouldnât come back to this place if they were free. If you want them you can email me, Iâll give them to...
Read moreI only heard about this place through seeing a sign at upon exiting the H Mart in Katy.
I decided to come in during the weekday as it was less crowded and $10 less Monday-Thursday for daily entrance. I found out that if you go to H Mart after the face that you can get in for $29 without buying ten tickets. Any cheaper you would need to buy 50 entries at around $23-$25 a ticket prepaid or pay for a membership. No way I was going to utilize the full cost of a $2900 per year membership as I live almost 40 minutes away or buy 50 entries without ever being there. Plus I would never visit 100 times a year to even break even at $29 per ticketed entry as you would need to go over two times a week to make up the cost of a membership. Otherwise itâs $39 M-Th and F-Sun is $49. I was too lazy to drive to H Mart, so I just paid my $39 for the day. I think there was no more than 15 people there while I was there that day. $39 and $49 is in my opinion to high. If they want to get this business going, Iâd suggest they charge the $29 at the door.
Although it is a Korean Spa, I would suggest some changes for the American clientele. For one, itâs nude plunge pools. They want you to shower in all your glory and go in the tubs naked. So itâs gender restricted, but not for those not willing to undress and bare all. So maybe a swimsuit would be preferable.
You also have to wear their spa uniform given to you by the front desk. Not super comfortable, but what do you do?
There is a shoe locker when you go in. You have to take your shoes off and lock them behind the front desk prior to entering the gender designated locker areas, which I was ok with- kept the spa clean. It was also very warm inside the shared spaces. No, I was not having a hot flash.
Lots of lounge areas, topaz rooms, clay room, salt room, ice room, Korean sauna, oxygen room and massage chairs. The other spaces other than the lounge areas are not large spaces, so if your scared of COVID, then not for you. Iâm over being locked down, so I was going to enjoy my day. You keep the show locker key to pay for your cafe or spa extra usage inside.
Massages and services were twice the price here. So I suggest going to another place and then head over here for the rest of your day. Like I can get a 90 min massage on Mason Rd for $60 which isnât that far -just one way I would suggest.
Although the location seemed a little seedy and the parking lot seemed like it needed new concrete- itâs a legit spa, no shady stuff. So ladies, donât be scared. That is always the first thing that comes to my mind when I see an Asian spa, and Iâm a lady.
Great place to just decompress and do absolutely nothing. Bring a book and chill.
**Update to my review as I havenât been here in 4 years. Came today and now they have since increased pricing to almost $60 on the weekend. Iâd had to update my star review on this as they are now charging to use the electric massage chairs where they did not before, $9 for 30 minutes. I think this is a bit ridiculous as they are already charging $58 for Fri-Sun entry. If you go over to the sauna chairs they want to charge $36 for 30 minutes. Itâs like they are just nickel and diming away customers. At this rate Iâll be going to the new Worldsprings instead coming to Houston in 2025 instead. I suggest they remove this extra pricing as this isnât...
Read moreUPDATE: SUWAN AND BRIANA THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS ON ME FOR "ASSAULT." I have been crying all week and having sleep issues, unable to focus on my life. I have a recording of my final interaction with them when I went in to get my refund for the food (which took days to get them to agree to). Seemingly, they threatened me to get rid me. Suwan shifted blame the entire time, and only apologized when i pointed out that she hadn't thus far. She said "anyone" can claim something is in their food. I insisted that I talk to the general manager Paul about Suwan's customer service. Suwan said he knew that I had been insisting that I speak with him about Suwan's treatment, and that I had to email him anyway. I don't understand why they didnt just say that I could not speak with Paul. Suwan escalated the situation, and you can hear her raising her voice above mine, and said, "At this point, if you keep calling us, it's considered assault. And we're able to call the police and report this." Later that day, when Paul contacted me back through email, he said I am banned from the spa and that I cannot contact the staff anymore, citing that I put the staff and Suwan in tears following that interaction. I don't know how to tell other brown-skinned people that if you expect bare minimum customer service, should you find a HARD SHARP FOREIGN OBJECT IN YOUR FOOD, you cannot expect the staff to treat you with humanity. A haunting reminder that some people's tears are more important than mine. I was having a good time until I almost swallowed a piece of plastic in my bowl. The staff showed me that the object was a piece broken off of a plastic container. They seemed to think the solution to me nearly choking on a foreign hard shard of plastic in my seaweed soup was cooking me another soup, not discounting me even $1 off my food order. The front desk person (their name is Si-won) was stubborn about not refunding me, not only at the end of our visit, but also when I called the following day wanting to talk about my refund. She said I have a picture of some plastic in my HAND, not a picture of plastic IN THE SOUP. Turns out that Si-won is the supervisor and exclaimed "You didn't say that!" when I reminded her that the staff showed me themselves that the plastic bit was from a plastic box they cracked themselves. She kept saying the general manager was consulted and I have to email them with a picture of the plastic? Si-won continued to treat me pretty flippantly and didnt even seem like she cared that i could have injured myself through negligence? Cant say i get stuff in my food very often. Extremely worrying about how they treat clients when THEY mess up. I just wanted to celebrate my family memberâs birthday without issue. going 2 Spa World...
