Lee Nails & Spa — Attraction in Falls Church

The nail tech left me crying , I didn’t even stay for my pedicure. It was the lack of consideration and customer service.

Long story: I read the glowing reviews about this salon and their exception pedicures. I set my appointment. I greeted the nail tech and said hello how are you. I was so excited about trying a new place and preparing for my travels. She rolled her eyes. But I saw her speaking to others. I advocated kindly about the shape of my nails and she started saying rudely “I’ll take the nails off for you if you don’t like I’ve been doing nails for 10 years”. It appeared she was taking it personal? And I was telling her no it’s not you I just want to ensure I like my nails.

She kept pressuring me to cut them off and go somewhere else instead of trying to listen to me. I felt defeated. This wasn’t an indulgence it felt like a nightmare. The other patrons notice and start making a “what’s going on” face to me and I shrugged.

I then defeatedly said it was fine and she kept going. I began to cry and she barely said anything.

At the end, the nails came out just ok , but I left feeling violated. I voiced my concerns to the manager and she just looked at me blankly. She didn’t offer to look at them or anything.

My mother owns a salon and I’m very appreciative of women who work at nail salons and I was ready to tip my over 25% but I just gave 10%.

I should’ve posted it the same day I had my nails done. I’ve been thinking about going back and asking them to fix it but I cannot take the negative response. At first they all seemed friendly but when i told her I need just the polish change and cat eye , it was really hard for her to make me understand the exact charges. First off I highly doubt that they sterilize their tools cause she took out a cuticle cleaner from her drawer and did my cuticles. Her table wasn’t that clean either. But I stayed quiet cause she had already spent 10 mins talking about the charges. I was thinking too much about how everyone would be judging me even tho I had been very polite. Then She applied really thin layers on my left hand (light green) and when it was my right hand I asked her to do do three layers cause it clearly wasn’t giving cat eye. But she applied really rough strokes as you can see in the pictures. I’ve been getting my nails done for 10 years now in fact I had my cat eye on when I walked in to the salon. I can't believe it has taken me this long to leave a review. I used to be a customer when the old owners were there and I was a little scared when I noticed they had new owners. Needless to say, Mai and her team do an AMAZING job in comparison to the old owners. They are very accommodating and actually listen when you a specific request about your nails. Did I mention how affordable they are? They have the best prices in the area. Mai does my nails but while she was on maternity leave, I did my nails with the other girls in the salon and they do an awesome job too. The color selection is amazing, they are super clean, very friendly and they offer everyone water. I can't say enough amazing things about Indulge!!!!
