Cherry Hill is an AMAZING campground. I went with my mama for our Thanksgiving holiday and we had a great time. Whether you love primitive camping in your campervan or in cabin/hut this place is beautiful. The grounds are extremely well kept (to include the trash receptacles and bath houses) and the staff and the people who live on the grounds are so kind and welcoming. Additionally, I found out that there are buses that will take you into DC for transportation or tours, along with mail forwarding, food from the cafe, gas, and firewood being available for delivery to your campsite. I love Cherry Hill, so does my mama, and weโ€™re definitely coming back. You should go too! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’—

We really enjoy taking our kids here -- anything to let the toddler burn off as much energy as possible. There is so much to do there that the kids don't really get bored, which is a great cure for Cabin Fever on a nice Spring day. There are places you can rent as well -- the small pavilion rents for $15 an hour (if you're a FC resident, $25/hr if not), and the large barn-style one rents for $125/hr. The big one requires getting a permit through ABC though ๐Ÿ™„ There's a large field that is great for soccer or football, and a sand pit with a net for volleyball or badminton. It's free to get in, and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Great little shaded park thatโ€™s perfect for a picnic! Tables, playground, volleyball, basketball and tennis. Great big and super tall Poplar trees and Black Walnut. Enter by car by way of Little Falls Street and go behind the City Hall and the Parks and Recreation Dept. buildings. When you exit you will be on Park Avenue. This was a little confusing at first.

The day was beautiful & the park was nice. Earlier in the day a Farmer's Market had occurred there & parking was just beginning to thin. We had a family group of about 15 - 18 & had reserved the pavilion by the playground (I don't know if there's another one.) If we had planned on arriving earlier, it would have been almost impossible to find a place to park. Fortunately as the parking thinned, our group showed up. The park has a lot to offer: tennis courts are available, sand volley ball, a nice play ground, a community center, many picnic tables & charcoal grills. Since I'm from out of town I don't know anything about reserving them or use fees. But if you're in the area & want to get out of doors, I'd recommend you check out...
