I have mixed reviews about this and I wish google allowed me to rate other things besides room, service, location. Short version, it's a clean but mediocre hotel. We did this at a deal for a timeshare presentation....fast forward to the end for details on that.

I'd give this a 3.5-4 star. The staff we met were very nice, although we didnt interact enough to give a rating. Property is well maintained and rooms are very clean. However, it was built in the early 90s and renovated in the early 2000s and you can tell. That being said, as an elder millennial- I sort of enjoyed the 90s vibe in the master bath and it didn't bother me because it was well maintained.

Things that get a ding:

1. Huge resort and traveling with older parents made the walking a bit much. I wasn't prepared for this. They should provide a shuttle around the property that comes to each unit every 15-30min. A shuttle or allowing guests to use the 4-person bikes at no cost would have made me rate it a 4-5.

2. Food options at the restaurant were just...blah. The selection on the menu was good but the taste of most things was bland. That being said, it's nice to have the option so again....not a 2 or 3 star but a solid 3.5-4.

3. The pools were nice but the resort should provide some sort of pool toys for kids. We visited other MVC locations and they provided this for out of town guests. Also, no towel service at the pools? Why?

4. A lot of the other activities like boats, bikes, etc. We're also an additional charge. It would have pushed me over the 4 or 5 star if more activities were included. Instead the resort seems to offer a few daily events like a Polynesian show, steel drums, etc. Which, is a nice perk, but only if you're at the resort all day every day.

At the end of the day, being that the place was clean and 15min to the Disney parks was what we needed. And even more worth it because we took the deal to listen to the timeshare presentation, so it was a steal. The timeshare presentation we sat thru wasn't too much torture. Our sales rep was very nice, but other staff there were cold and slightly rude. If Marriott figured out a way to make this timeshare concept more modern and flexible for the average family, more people would buy. The timeshare model is outdated, their sales tactics are textbook, and they didn't treat us like you were buying in to something luxury. I think if they could make the middle class family feel like you could buy in to luxury at a better investment, more people would consider it. But I can tell you their customer service and a 1990s resort in Orlando definitely did not give us that experience.
