A review said this place was a hidden gem, and they didn't lie.

Everything I tasted was cooked to perfection. They seemed to he short staffed, but LC did as good as someone could possibly as possible. He accommodated our seating needs, gave us a complimentary desert for my wifes birthday, and was a great host.

The shrimp alone was great, but the shrimp scampi was amazing. You can taste the high-quality olive oil they used. The chicken and shrimp fettuccine were both amazing as well. They tasted even better once we took them home.

The mashed potatoes were good but a little grainy for my taste. The burger was arguably better than the fettuccine, and the steak fries were a perfect accent to the burger.

We sat outside the restaurant with a beautiful view of a pond surrounded by trees with the option to dine outside if we chose to. The inside was equally inviting and I even saw a classy private dining area for special events I assume.

The takeaways were my food came out late, due to short staffing, but As I mentioned earlier LC compensated us for the wait. He did bring out Chicken Fettuccine instead of shrimp but again he compensated me by giving me the chicken fettuccine free and still giving me the shrimp fettuccine I ordered. The look on his face said everything and I could tell he was being genuine and doing his best, something I truly appreciate.

Next time I am in Orlando I will for sure he back, I may go back again...

We had a fantastic evening at Calypso Bar and Grill! I was in town on business, and my wife came along for a mini-vacation. We honestly stumbled upon this gem because of its proximity to our hotel, and what a happy accident it turned out to be.

When we arrived, we were a bit confused at first, our Lyft dropped us off at another hotel, and we weren’t sure if we were in the right spot. Just then, the owner walked out, greeted us, and asked if we were looking for a table. From that moment forward, the experience was nothing short of outstanding.

We only ordered small plates on our first visit, but the service and hospitality more than impressed us. We ended up chatting with the owner and learning about his Serbian roots and his ambitions for the restaurant, which made the evening feel that much more personal. The atmosphere was welcoming, and every member of the staff was warm and friendly, it felt like dining among friends.

We enjoyed it so much that we came back two nights later with a friend for karaoke night. This time, I ordered the Surf & Turf, and it looked exactly like the photos online and tasted even better. Every bite was fantastic, and it’s clear they take great pride in both presentation and flavor.

I had the trio surf and turf. To be honest the shrimp and scallop seasoning was too salty for my taste, but the filet was cooked (medium-rare) and tasted as well as any I've ever had (my wife and I seek out good filets and don't much care about price), so 5 plus stars just for that. The service was also second to none. My mom had the Calypso burger and my daughter (5y/o) the kids qesodilla. Fantastic and yummy! Respectively. My wife had the Picanha steak and black bean thing and it was also amongst the best she had ever had (I've never had it before, but Itried the meat and beans and it was delicious!!!) For what it's worth; my wife had the strawberry daiquiri and it was delicious. My daughter had orange fanta and it tasted like orange fanta.
