Dolphin Lagoon — Attraction in Dr. Phillips

This was by far one of the best experiences I have had in my life! It's definitely worth every penny. When you check into the park, they give you a time for your Dolphin Encounter. About 15 minutes before your encounter, you meet with a trainer, and they give you an informative presentation about your interaction with the dolphins and you learn about the dolphins throughout this whole experience. Then your group of about 6-8 people go with a trainer and you meet your dolphin. We actually met two. One was about 25 and the other, 27. Both were very friendly. Then you touch the fin and the dolphin's back. When it's your turn to swim, you put your hand on the dorsal fin and as soon as your hand is on the pectoral fin, the dolphin swims like a jet! It's so much fun! You cannot wear jewelry since the dolphins like shiny objects and it can hurt them. You also cannot bring a phone or recording device but there are professional photographers to capture...

I was able to purchase tickets for my daughter's birthday. Swimming with the dolphins has been something she always wanted to do, so this was a nice treat. I did appreciate the dolphin experience, as did she also. The lazy river is terrible with the inconsistent depth of water. Once again, making it difficult to maneuver and having to stand or walk in the shallow area's and being un level.

For an older person like myself with limited walking ability, this location was difficult to maneuver. There was a lot of walking and very few places to sit along the paths. There are NO seats in the lobby area or out front, if you are waiting on a ride or bus at the end of the day. This was a big fail for me in customer relations. After making it back to the lobby I had to stand and wait for over 35 minutes waiting on our bus. Please provide some type of seating...

We suprised our daughter for her 7th birthday by taking her to swim with the Dolphins. We met Reef a 6 year old dolphin and Yoko a 25 year old Dolphin.

They have a photographer that takes one on one pictures of you and the dolphin and family photos as well.

It was an amazing experience.

Make sure you book with plenty time in advance because their days fill up fast.

Also get to the park before opening and wait, that way you can be the soonest time slot

Anything could happen, and if something delays one time slot, every time slot after it is also delayed. Even making the last few slots of the day canceled.

The water is cold, for the livelihood of the Dolphins to wear a full wet...
