This wasn't my first visit. I have done my pedicures here before, never had an issue. I came in this past weekend to get my nails and my daughters nails done as well. UGHHH..
When I came in, i told them two of us will get acrylic and one will just be a manicure with color. As usual, they said go and pick out a color. I helped my youngest look for what she wanted and it took a bit of time because she's 8. Once she was ready, i started to look for the color i wanted. As soon as i start, the guy was like are you ready, and i said no, i am still looking for a color. I felt like he was annoyed, which annoyed me because the place was not busy at all. My oldest went and sat down and i continued to look for my color. The guy kept grabbing colors and was like this one or this one, and i said no. Finally i showed him a picture of the color i was looking for. Once he had it, I asked him if they do any nail art or design. He looked at me like i was crazy for asking. I wasn't looking to do anything crazy, just maybe a heart on my ring fingers. After the look he gave me, i decided to just do a different color on the ring fingers instead. Once i sat down, he was rushing to get it done. He kept telling me about dip instead of gel, and since I have never done dip, i wanted to know what the difference is. He looked at me weird again and At this point, i realize he just didn't really understand English very well. I finally just said, okay and let him do the dip powder vs gel.
Let me say, that this man was rushing so much he burned my fingers with the machine. I felt like my fingers were raw. I kept saying ouch and he would ease up.
In the end. My nails ended up looking horrible. They were never shaped correctly..which by the way, was the basic shape that all places use..squoval. They were uneven and the dip powder looked horrible.
On top of all of this, when my oldest finished her nails from another tech, i asked to look at them. Hers were just as bad. Uneven, super fat nails and he never cleaned underneath the nail to get rid of the extra acrylic that falls under. She was disappointed.
In the end, I bought myself a good nail file to at least make them even. I will...
Read moreI came in for a gel pedicure which I thought would be a fun experience and a treat. However, I left feeling frustrated and scared about what will happen to my nail. When I sat down I informed my pedicurist that I have had many ingrown toenail surgeries and to be careful and not to cut to much off. She went about the pedicure and it was all good, despite the nails being cut little shorter than I would have liked. When she was done and before she painted them I noticed my left big toe looked a little crooked. So, I asked if she would cut just the side that was a little longer so that it could be straight. Instead of doing that, she cut it completely across making the shorter side way to short and making it so it was still crooked. I told her to stop and that it wasn't what I wanted. She apologized but continued to do what she was doing and didn't offer to fix it. When I went up to pay, I mentioned the toe to the cashier. I informed her that now I am worried that I will end up needing ingrown toenail surgery again, and that I was very disappointed. Instead of offering to take some money off the service, they offered to either put acrylic (or dip) to make it longer or take some money off the next time I came in. I definitely didn't want to do the second option as I no longer trusted them with my nails. So I figured it couldn't hurt to at least make it look okay, so I had them do dip power on the nail. I made sure to mention how this doesn't restore everything because my main concern was with the possibility of getting an ingrown due to the excessively short length of my natural nail. They didn't seem to care, and still charged me full price for the service. I would never recommend this place to anyone who has had ingrown toenails, or who wants to be able to communicate something important about...
Read moreFirst time going definitely disappointed, I usually do my own nails but it was my bday so I wanted to get pampered but I noticed some “short cuts” with the process of doing my nails. She seemed to rushed through it and they only lasted a week. I got a full acrylic set with gel French tip came out to $90. The woman was very nice but she didn’t use any primer and did a very thin application. They were pretty but quality wasn’t there. You tell with the pictures that there’s already lifting and cracks within the middle and this is all within the same week of getting them done.
In reply to your owners response, my review was 11 days after getting them done and that picture was the same week. Nobody should have to get a fill within 7-11 days after paying 80 dollars. And yes I did leave a ten dollar tip because I work within the service industry and always tip I do not stiff even after bad service. I did not jam my finger my nail broke because of the quality of the products you use and the rushed thin application. To detail more what I meant about rushing the process and you can go look at the cameras again to watch, when she glued my nails she didn't apply pressure and wait for the tip and glue to be bonded correctly with my nail . Hence why my nails are cracked and breaking off at the tip point. I've never had cracks in my acrylic starting at the cuticle even after hitting my nails. For a 80 dollar set I shouldn't have to complain or come back to get something fixed. Shows a lot about the quality of the products, work and professionalism. As the owner for you to try and blame the client for a crappy set is very unprofessional. And not to mention I noticed she used a used nail file which is against health code. Hope you have...
