Excellent customer service and knowledge of trees, plants and shrubbery. I have been so pleased with our experience with Meadows Farm since our first interaction with their staff at the Falls Church location. Abby was fantastic and so knowledgeable about each and every plant. We stopped by on a Monday night and Abby volunteered to help us. We had a lot of questions about the growing height of the trees and how to best plant them as we were planning on doing some of the work ourselves, and Abby was able to answer each and every question we had. We were truly blown away by her knowledge and customer service. We ended up picking out several trees and Crepe Myrtles, and having them delivered through Meadows Farm. Josh and Hugh were our delivery team, and arrived on time after calling to give us a heads up that they were on their way. Josh and Hugh kindly placed our new trees and Crepe Myrtles behind our fence. Josh even went above and beyond to maneuver our very, very heavy Crepe Myrtle into the backyard. We are beyond thankful. I'm glad to be part of Meadows VIP family now (having just discovered them!) and plan to continue using Meadows Farm to enrich my garden with new plants and flowers of all kinds!
To again express how wonderful the team at Meadows Farm is, I could honestly say that the staff there truly enjoy working there. Kudos to the owner for hiring and mentoring enthusiastic staff. Josh, the driver who delivered our trees and Crepe Myrtles, openly said how much he enjoys his job. And, Abby, I could certainly tell how much she enjoyed working at Meadows Farm by the time she took in answering our many questions about the trees and shrubs and whether they would fit in our landscape design. Working with the Meadows team has been a breath of fresh air and...
Read moreUpdated 9/8: The owner, Jay, reached out and let me know that they would be addressing this to work with the individual to better improve their communication with clients and also issued me a refund. I am very glad to hear that he sincerely wanted to address this. I feel better about patronizing this business for my gardening needs. Original: This review is for their landscaping consultation. The woman who arrived was pretty unprofessional, kept rolling her eyes and sighing when I explained the look I was going for. I told her she was the expert and I was simply giving an example of what I wanted aesthetic wise but she is here as the expert to advise on what would actually work. You would think at that age you'd learn to be a little more respectful to potential clients. At one point she picked up a rock that I had placed on a cattle panel piece to weigh it down and tossed it. I have no clue why but the experience really soured me on giving any money to this business. I paid the unfortunate $69 consultation fee and took the women up on her offer to continue to discuss my plans but she also never responded. More than happy to keep my money and send...
Read moreBad customer experience. Meadows Farms planted a couple of crepe myrtles a few years ago, and one of them is dying thus I contacted the company to take a look at it.
One representative called me promptly, however her service was unprofessional right from the start. Without stating the company name and what the call was for, she started asking my name and address (why would I give that out when I don't even know you given all the spam call we are getting these days), and then finally I was able to ask what was the call for, and realized it was Meadows. Then, she became impatient telling me the crew would not be able come out for 10-14 days to diagnose it, and asked me why it's dying... First, 10-14 days is long compared to other companies I called. Secondly, if I know whey it's dying I would not be calling an expert such as Meadows to come out and take a look. Then she said if you send picture, we may return 5-8 days, but no guarantees for anything. At the end, when I told her I am disappointed about the service and our conversation... she finally had a some patient tone.
In sum, I don't know if I'd use Meadows in any of my...
