Today's visit was not what I and my family expected after an all day out visiting DC. We had been looking forward to dinner at this location since our first visit over 7 years ago was so amazing. Unfortunately our food was subpar and "premade" from the waitress comments. I was in awe but sometimes premade food isn't so bad. Well we were hungry and decided to give it a go. I asked for a mixed ceviche medium heat as to what waitress replies it's already made so there's no option for changing it...ahhh? I should have known right there that it wasn't right. When it came out it had yellow corn on the cob, not typical for a peruvian dish. Had no flavor and the seafood was chewy as if it had been made a day or two in advance. My husband asked for the pollo a la brasa to which he immediately noticed the chicken was reheated, fries were under done, and he didn't even touch his salad. Kids ordered spaghetti with meat, my son loves spaghetti but apparently this one wasn't edible, he left it all. My daughter asked for chicharron with fried yuca she tried it and lost her appetite. The only good option we had was the drinks and the chicha, and those were premade! Hopefully it was just an oversight from the kitchen and they can improve their quality and pride for what they stand! Good luck with...
Read moreI just left this restaurant with my mother and toddler for Easter lunch. We had delicious food, and I’ve been coming for years, I’ve had almost everything on the menu. The churrasco a la chorellana was great and so is the marisco saltado, lomo saltado, the only so-so items are anything with “tallarin” and the salad bar. For years, this restaurant employs the worst servers I’ve ever had. The one I had today told my mother, though she saw me put the cash for the meal down, that the price of the ticket didn’t include tip, and pointed to the bottom of the receipt, and this was done in a patronizing way, not a helpful way, so we were offended. She also never checked in on us and never brought an extra fork like I had asked (my son had dropped his, so we literally had to use the plastic spoon that came on one of the condiment cups). I’ve had at least 4 other experiences, where the server is completely rude or obviously not wanting to be there. After almost 20 years, the restaurant hasn’t changed its methods for employing not recruiting servers who will make their restaurant shine..so I don’t even know why I write this except for the consumer who I hope will see this, if customer service is of importance when choosing where to spend...
Read moreTERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Called Saturday to make a reservation for Sunday for Grandmother's birthday. Party of 15 for 3pm. The person I spoke to confirmed the reservation also took note that it was a birthday and that they would provide Grandmother with a dessert and sing happy birthday. My family traveled from different parts of VA, DC, and MD. I myself drove 50 minutes to get to this restaurant. When my family arrived we were told that a reservation did not exist and there was no way they could seat this many people because they were packed. I had not arrived to the restaurant yet but immediately called to complain and state I did indeed make a reservation. When I called, the voice I spoke to was the exact same person I had made the reservation with. When I told him it was him who I had spoken to he put me on hold and put his manager on who could barely even speak english. He continued to tell me theres nothing they could do. No apology. And rudely hung up on me as if to say we had our answer now get lost. Absolutely ridiculous. No care for customers, couldnt even offer an apology of any kind. Will never return and will make sure to never advocate for this restaurant. Terrible manager and terrible customer...
