Our House Properties, LLC — Attraction in Round Rock

This is our first time renting a home as we have always been homeowners. We also have a rental property ourselves and understand that it really is very simple to respond to tenants and manage them if you are doing your job. Our house properties, does NOT do their job. Do I even have a rental management company? I wouldn’t know, as they never respond. Before we even moved in we submitted a request to have the garage door fixed. 5 MONTHS LATER, someone showed up to fix the garage. Never had a response, didn’t know they even got the request. Took 5 months to get that fixed. Our microwave has been broken for a month now, just turned off. Submitted a maintenance request. Am I going to be without a microwave for the next 6 months? Probably, but I wouldn’t know because I haven’t heard anything from anyone. This company is a joke. Matt sucks at his job. A few months ago I requested info on a property after emailing Matt about something and not hearing back weeks later. Would you believe within 24 hours I got a response about the listed inquiry? They are VERY interested in getting new tenants. They do not, however, care about the current ones. It’s tough, because we love this house but it doesn’t make me want to stay in it because of the lack of management.

*UPDATE: We have STILL not heard from Matt/Our House Properties. We have been without a microwave for 7 months now. I hate them. They suck. Our lease is up in April, and again, while we love this house, I’ll be looking for another home just to get away from this company. I also am 100% positive that I will not receive my $4k deposit back—even if I leave the home better than it was found because that’s the kind of...

"High Note Realty, LLC" Doing Business As (DBA) "Our House Properties, LLC" served as the property management company for a home I lived in for three years. When the original owner sold the home to a new owner, the new owner engaged this company. While the first impression of Sophie and Matt was very positive, what happened the following months led to some of the most uncomfortable times in my rental history. This company will very regularly show up unannounced, inspect every inch of your home, go back on everything they say, and seem to truly enjoy threatening renters and encroaching renters' rights. In the few months that they served as the property management company, they completely razed the mature, defining landscaping of the home and upset the new owner so much that he promptly resold the house to a commercial builder that ended up kicking us out of our home shortly thereafter.

If you learn that your property managers will be this company, think twice about...

Working with this management company was an absolute nightmare.

We fell in love with a house listed by this company, we filled out the application and put down the deposit. At first they looked like the nicest people but after a few days they showed who really they are. They forced us to move 3 weeks earlier (on 24th of the month as opposed to original date which was the 15th - we were told later by the neighbors that this house was empty for a long time), plus they made us to pay the whole year upfront because they did not accept our self-employed documents, goes without saying we lost a lot of money breaking our current least and paying for 3 weeks more). While living there they literally ignored our repair requests, and always had attitude talking to us (specially Matt).
