Paul Jewelers — Attraction in Clarksburg

Hello everyone I just wanted to post a review to say thank you to Paul and to all of his wonderful staffs in helping my wife and I to pick out the finest jewelry of her dream. I usually don't write reviews, but want to take time out to say thank you to Paul Jewelers (at Clarksburg Outlets) for their expertise and professionalism. My wife and I have been to several other jewelers around the areas, including Northern VA, and I would have to admit that Paul (and his staffs) are the best in this business. They are very....very.....very....honest in what they do and very honest in given their opinion. They put their customers first (and not their wallet) to make sure that you get the jewelry that you want and not worry about making a sale (or commission) as compared to other Jewelers. In addition, Paul and his staffs are very friendly and they will spend their time with everyone regarding how you look walking through the front door. I will guarantee that you will NOT find any jewelers better than Paul Jewelers regarding to quality, cost, and...

EDIT: the owner of the store, Paul, emailed me trying to guilt me into taking down my review. My review is honest and polite. He was very unprofessional. I would not recommend shopping here.

I’m sure they are fine if you are buying something new, but do not go here to get your rings resized! I got my engagement ring and wedding band resized and they left my wedding band discolored, and left indents and disfigured my engagement ring. They specifically told me that they would make them half a size bigger by adding more metal, instead of just stretching them thinner. They did not add more metal and now my rings are lumpy and thinner than before.

The only thing they did right was take responsibility. I was given the option of having them send the rings to another jeweler for repair, or a refund. They have at least 2 stores that we're aware of. We visited the Clarksburg, MD location and ordered a pair of white gold 2kt diamond hoop earrings. Jack and his partner promised the earrings would arrive in two weeks, and they will be shipped to the closer location at Potomac Mills. After two weeks, we walked into Paul Jewelers in Potomac Mills, and knew it was a problem when those employees had no idea what we were talking about. They called the Clarksburg location and after some discussions, it was determined the earrings hadn't arrived, but they are en route. Long story short, these guys aren't serious about their business. Its been 1 month with no earrings, and too many versions to write as to why we haven't received them. They couldn't be bothered with preemptive phone calls; they let the customers walk into their stores knowing the merchandise isn't there. Oh well, they could've had us as lifetime...
