I went in for a simple V-shape haircut, expecting just a clean up and some shape at the ends. Instead, the stylist started the V from my shoulders leaving me with an extremely choppy, uneven cut that looks nothing like what I asked for. I had long, thick hair and now it’s been completely thinned out without my consent. It looks unblended, but I can’t go anywhere else to fix it because it is THAT THIN. There is no more hair left to cut. I have been here before and Paul never disappointed but he was already booked up and I thought this is a simple haircut anyone can do it. Boy was I wrong. My birthday is literally next week and I have to go find extensions to put in, there is no other option.
What’s worse is the lack of accountability. I followed their request and sent photos of my hair before and after (with dates clearly shown). It’s been a day later and I haven’t heard a single word back since then. They offered for me to come in so a different stylist can fix it, but there is NO MORE HAIR LEFT TO CUT. My bun is so small I can’t even put it up😭
This experience has honestly been super upsetting. I lost my self confidence. I trusted them with my hair and now I’m left waiting for it to grow out and fix itself. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I hope this saves someone else from going through the same thing. If someone doesn’t know how to work on thick hair, they should address it to the customer instead of...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Radiance Salon and Spa in Lansdowne, Leesburg. I booked a consultation before my natural keratin treatment because I wanted to understand the expected results — my goal was to achieve straighter hair. Mrs. Kandy, who performed the treatment, was kind and courteous, but unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations at all.
This was my first keratin experience, and sadly, it turned out to be the worst. I was hoping for at least 60–70% straightening, but I didn’t even see 10% improvement. Mrs. Kandy assured me the results would last for at least three months, possibly up to six if I shampooed only twice a week. I followed all instructions carefully, but the effect didn’t even last a week.
After noticing the lack of results, I reached out to the salon multiple times, but they showed little concern. I was told the products come from distributors and they weren’t sure why it didn’t work — which felt dismissive. Salons should know the products they use and stand behind their services. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
I won’t be recommending this salon to my family or friends. Customer care and accountability matter, and I didn’t feel either was...
Read moreI've been going to this place for a about two years now and I absolutely love it. I see Erica who is always on time, professional, and full of sound advice for skin care. She genuinely seems to love and have a passion for her job, which is rare these days. She's never pushy about selling products, but she was more than happy to put together a skin care regiment for me when I asked for one. My skin has never felt better!
I've been to other spas that seem to start the high pressure "buy this product" from the minute you walk in the door; Erica isn't like that at all, and does the most relaxing facials ever.
The space itself is super clean — which is of course so important, it's welcoming and relaxing. The front desk staff are warm and friendly, I'm always greeted with a smile. Making an appointment is easy either in person or online, and the check in and out process is super efficient.
Highly recommended, would give six stars...
