Disappointing Experience at Relax Spa: Unprofessional Behavior and Inadequate Massage

I recently visited Relax Spa in Lansdowne , Leesburg ,and I must express my deep disappointment with the overall experience. Several issues arose during my session that left me feeling unsatisfied and questioning the professionalism of the therapist.

First and foremost, throughout the massage, I was constantly disturbed by the strong smell of smoke emanating from the therapist. This not only detracted from the relaxing atmosphere but also indicated a lack of consideration for the clients' well-being. Relax spa has open wall they can talk each other. i was inside of room with therapist, and my therapist and other therapist talking their own language so irritating disturbing activities, other therapist vacuuming there in big noise during session its so annoying un professionalism's spa should prioritize maintaining a clean and pleasant environment, and this aspect was sorely lacking during my visit.

Furthermore, I found the quality of the massage itself to be subpar. The therapist seemed disinterested and merely went through the motions, primarily focusing on shaking my legs and pointing rather than providing a proper massage. This lack of technique and attention to detail left me feeling dissatisfied and further contributed to my overall negative experience.

Adding to my disappointment, after the session when it came time to settle the payment, the therapist unprofessionally asked me three times about the tip amount I intended to give. This behavior made me feel uncomfortable and pressured, even though I had already provided a $10 tip. It is unacceptable for a professional therapist to repeatedly inquire about gratuity, as it undermines the relaxing and customer-oriented environment that a spa should...

We went here because there was a Groupon for 59% off so we paid $105 for a couples massage. It was the worst and most painful massage I have ever had. It was my husbands first and he’s scared to ever get one again. The setting is uncomfortable, they don’t turn lights down and the walls in the room don’t go to the ceiling so it’s pretty open. The room where you get undressed and have your massage has a window on the door.

There was a guy and girl masseuse duo. The girl took my husband and the guy took me (without asking us if we had a preference and I had never been massages by a guy before)

My husband and I left in pain. They never asked us for the areas we want them to target or our pressure preferences. I asked for my guy to lighten his pressure and he just didn’t. There was one point he had so much pressure into a spot in my back I actually had a hard time breathing. Any time I said anything he just had I had bad knots (mind you he just applied pressure he never “massaged or worked” the knots) He massaged my calves (which I’ve had other massage therapists actually refuse to do bc my calves get serious Charlie horses often) when I told him he was hurting me he said it was because I had knots in my back that they hurt.

The girl also had pressure that hurt my husbands back but he didn’t realize he could say anything bc they never asked him anything. She massaged his glutes (in a professional manner) but she didn’t ask first and it did make him uncomfortable bc it was his first massage.

Both left with back pain and worse off then when we got there. Longest hour...

I booked a ‘prenatal massage’ here. The room I had was semi private, there is a window in the door that anyone passing through the hallway can look through, 30% of the wall was missing (the wall did not reach all the way to the ceiling as if they couldn’t pay for the construction of the remainder of the paper thin walls). Diring my massage, I could clearly hear the new clients that came in through the front door and the conversation between the person at the front desk and the incoming customers. I was also disturbed during my massage because of the conversations between the clients and the masseuse in the room next to me. These distractions interrupted the already crappy massage that was given to me by the inexperienced and mediocre masseuse. The masseuse did not ask me what my problem areas were, she also did not know that I needed a pillow to place between my knees to support myself during the prenatal massage. I highly doubt that she was qualified to give a prenatal massage. The masseuse was timid, as if she had never given one before. In addition, the massage table was stiff and felt cheap, the room was bright (from outside light as 30% of the wall is missing), and the room itself had no ambience. The massage table, sheets and the oil that was used during my massage was cold, usually there is a heated blanket on the table and the oil is usually warm instead of cold. My massage was not relaxing. This was a total waste of time and money. I will never return to this establishment nor will I ever recommend...
