South Georgia State Fair — Attraction in Georgetown

I attended the fair yesterday, and the prices were not too bad to get in. Now lets talk about the food. Do you guys know that most adults come to the fair like myself only for the food. You guys have got to get better food vendors. I mean food vendors with great food. The food was horrible yesterday. Everything I ate had no season. Who wants to pay 10 dollars for a sandwich that is bland. Then there was no place to sit to eat your food. Last year, you guys had great seating arrangements. Please, in October 2025, yall need to bring more and better food. This is fair, so please bring your A game. I was so mad when there was not a pizza stand. Who has a fair without a truck that just has different pizza slices. Please start looking for vendors now for next year. The fair in October need alot of improvements. I forgot to add how horrible it was to walk on all of those rocks. You guys better fix that fast before someone gets hurt. I almost twist my ankle several times. Not a safe place for children. I was not born in Giorgia, but i was born in the very beautiful Cuban the Savannah, but back Giorgia, the name alone inspires ovation. It was my dear friends birthday, and i would have to one Savirs great restaurant’s We chose to go to the “Fair” In the lovely state , Of Giorgia. 10/person and then rides and food insidentals set us back 150+ us $ as well as bring cash it was a refreshing moments to know there was a place, with that luxury, as proseic as it sounds, that cash was preferred . ride on the ferris wheel had no vertigo,the last time i was on one it was Conney island. or coronary better described the attendant, was tired seemed that . the food was awesome a turkey leg and pork chop and corn was fair-ly plasant, would def go back every year . thank us all, for this great Nation and and my neighbors in this most blessed plot of where great foot prints can tell all, if you sit in the silence of a Giorgian Evening...

Questionable cleanliness @ all eating places. I did NOT see places for employees to wash hands on their site. I saw only one handicap accessible bathroom on the property. Insufficient handicap parking 🅿️. They charge extra for parking. That should be included in entrance fee ($10). Dam near impossible for a person in a wheelchair or scooter to get around. Rides, food and drink are too high. Not enough places for physically impaired to rest. The old fairgrounds had buildings and paved areas. The exchange club has chosen to not spend any money on infrastructure here. I did not see any police or security except at the exit. Also police were not helping direct traffic at the entrance to the fair and traffic was backed up for miles. Very poor planning on this project. The Royal restrooms were the only nice touch I saw.
